"Hello Beatrice and Caleb," Mum greets. I smile, and so does Caleb. "Dad is at the Dining Table," she continues. "Go join him,"

"Hi dad," I greet. He smiles. Telling about our Aptitude Test results, is not against the law. So, mum asks me, or rather dad,"What was your Aptitude Test results?" I smile, grinning. My parents laugh. "Dad, mum, I got..." I held my breath, "DIVERGENT!" My dad stared at me, then, started smiling. Mum mum gleamed with happiness. "Good, good. It's good to be a police," they say in unision. Then, they turn to look at Caleb. Caleb fidgets. Then flinches. He turns to look away. They look at him, expecting to hear 'Abnegation', but what Caleb said hit me like a tidal wave. "Erudite,"he mumbles.

"Excuse me? What did you say?" Dad asks, taken aback. "Erudite," Caleb repeats. My father's mouth hangs agape. Erudite. Brother. My brother got Erudite. I imagine him in Erudite clothes, discussing about polictics... I can't breathe.
