Just a shorty this time guys, a nice bit of monologue at the end. Love ya'll! Enjoy!

Sherlock sat in the armchair next to John's hospital bed, two babies in his arms. He was a proud father. John smirked at him from his sleepy state. "You look so smug, Sherlock." He mumbled. Sherlock smiled, kissing each baby on their little heads. The boy already had a mass of silky brown hair, a similar texture to John's, but the colour of Sherlocks. The girl, on the other hand, had a few bouncy locks of blonde hair, baby hair. So thin, so fine.

"I'm aloud to be smug." Sherlock smiled. "Although they don't have names yet." He pondered for a second. "Well we know baby girl Watson Holmes." He breathed, nudging the sleeping baby.

"Hattie-Rose Missey Watson Holmes." John said, proudly. "What a mouthful!" He giggled. "But our little boy..."

"I like Hamish." Sherlock said, squeezing his right arm. John reached out for their son. Sherlock handed him over and John kissed his head lightly before cuddling him into his chest. "Hamish." Sherlock said. "Like your middle name."

"But I hate my middle name..." John pointed out. Sherlock sighed. "Hey!" John exclaimed, "how do you feel about your first name?" He asked.

"William?" Sherlock asked, hesitantly. Obviously weighing the name out in his head. "I love it."

"There we go then." John smiled heartily. He clutched William to him. "Hattie-Rose Missey Watson Holmes and William Gregory Watson Holmes."

Sherlock didn't sleep that night. Not a chance. He had kissed John goodnight and then kept an eye on the babies. They didn't need an eye. They needed a thousand. Sherlock knew they were going to be trouble makers from the way they led each other on. If Hattie-Rose made a noise, even the slightest gurgle, William would have to make a louder one, to which Hattie-Rose replied with an even louder one and so it went on until they were both competitively screaming their tiny little lungs out.

Sherlock watched John sleep, his fave vacant and content, the sides of his mouth turned up into a little smile, which Sherlock adored. He peered at his phone. Everyone had replied. Except, of course, for Harrie. Sherlock wasn't really sure why he texted her. He felt as though she had a right to know. She was John's only real family, and she loved John more than herself, that was evident from every choice she ever made, not all of them good. Sherlock found himself doing something... Well... Crazy. He went to the window, looked up at the stars and started to speak.

"Hi Harrie." He said, looking at the star that shone the brightest. "This is dumb, this is really dumb, but I feel like it's my duty to talk to you. You know, update you." Sherlock paused for a moment and looked over at his stirring husband. "We got married." Sherlock said. "About 8 weeks ago, I guess." He said. "And now we've got the twins... Everything's working out pretty great." He saw that Hattie-Rose was awake, and he took her out of the horrid plastic cot and held her up to the window, just so her little ice blue eyes could look out. "This is Hattie-Rose, Harrie." Sherlock gestured to the tiny pink bundle in his arms. "Hattie Rose, this is your namesake, Auntie Harrie." Sherlock pointed at the bright star. Hattie Rose's eyes flickered to the star for a second before they closed, and she fell asleep once more. Sherlock placed her back in the cot. "Auntie... Is that weird? I think you'd love it." Sherlock put his warm palm on the cold window. "We miss you." He whispered. "But believe me, these babies will grow up to know just what a little star you are Harrie. Yeah, your a star, our lucky star!" Sherlock chuckled at his own ridiculousness. "Promise me you'll look after us, Harrie? Promise? Because your not really gone, believe me, your memory will carry on." (#SpotTheLyric) Sherlock said, he took his palm from the window and began to smile. "I was always sure that when you died, that was it. You were gone. Dead. Finished. But I don't know anymore, Harrie. I don't want to be finished. I want to go on forever. And ever. And ever. And I suppose, in a way... I will."
