"Hey" I greeted as I took the empty seat next to Al. Christina was about to say something when I was hauled out of my seat eagerly, almost tripping over the seat. Before I could even get a look at who the person was, I was pushed out the dining hall without a care in the world that I had an aching foot.

Once we were outside the doors, I finally stopped and turned round to see Four or should I say Tobias, angry as hell.

“What’s up? Are you ok? You seem a little red” I rambled placing the back of my hand against his forehead that I felt could give me blisters from the heat of it. “Probably best to get it checked out you kn-” He wafted my hand away and just glared at me that I knew I was in trouble so began stepping back, only for him to step forward.

“You’re angry at me aren’t you?” I reckoned. “No I’m as happy as a daffodil!” He snapped so instantly I shut my mouth, zipping it with my invisible hand. I began making a list of things that he could be mad for. Would he be mad at me for something that happened years ago? If so, then the list of possibilities is endless to a degree.

I began swinging on the balls of my feet as Tobias slowly killed me with his gaze that I averted by observing the floor but I still felt that I was still looking at him.

“Where were you?” He questioned. I saw his shadow over me on the ground. “When?” I replied trying to stay as calm as possible by biting my cheek, figuring I’d have an abnormal shaped lump there after Tobias has finished scolding me for whatever it is.

“Last night” He stated sharply. I took a deep gulp before replying. “Sleeping. Why?”

“Melody” His voice warned. I was sleeping though so why is he questioning me like he doesn’t believe I was sleeping? I smiled a little at myself when I realised my face had frowned in the way my thoughts had.

“Where?”

“Where’d you think?” I asked him like it was obvious as I drew random patterns in the ground with my foot.

“So why are you acting so nervous then if you slept in your bed in the dormitory?” I jerked my head up at his reply, my expression changing from surprised to annoyed.

“Maybe I’m nervous because you’re making me feel like that. Like I’ve done something oh so bad” I said rolling my eyes dramatically. Tobias just continued glaring at me.

“Urrgh I wish Mum was here” I muttered kicking Tobias’ shoe dropping my gaze back down to the floor. “Why?”

“Because then she would pull you away and tell you to stop bullying me because I’m your little sister” I exclaimed looking up at him with a happy smile. It seemed to lighten him up a bit as a smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

Before he could reply, I butted in. “Ok I’m hungry now so if you’ll excuse me…” I confirmed walking away after curtseying half way.

When I was about to open the door, it swung open so I took a rapid step back to prevent from being knocked out by the people that were coming out of it that I came to terms with as Will, Al, Christina and Tris.

“Here, got you a muffin” Christina chucked a muffin in my hand. I spun my body back around and continued walking with them. When I looked up to Four, I caught him making eye contact with Tris for a few seconds too long for comfort.

“What have you done to it?” I diverted my gaze away from them and back to the muffin, holding it out, examining it for any kind of miniature grenade or funny green colour.

“Nothing!” Christina cried aloud.

“Why do you think we’ve done something to it?” Al asked. “Maybe because there’s just something suspicious about it” I confirmed definitely.
