Grimm and Hollow Knight know each other because they became friends as kids. He would visit them and stay over sometimes but after Hollow Knight was chained away, Grimm stopped visiting the place in general and stayed with his Mother for the rest of her life.
Made that by tracing over the original it was time consuming.
