What happened to everything?

Chapter 10

"When was the last time you were down here?" Logan asked curiously and I looked at him

Lithe last time we went looking for students" I replied and Charles looked at me

"A lifetime ago" he whispered and I nodded sadly and we looked towards the entrance and Charles looked in and the blue light went in on his eyes

"Welcome professor" Cerebro said and I smiled widely and the door opened and there was cerebro, after so many years. We walked to the control panel and hank turned it on

"She won't be moving very fast" Hank commented and Charles picked up the helmet and blew off the dust and then placed it on his head while tommy and Amelia climbed of the side of the wheelchair and I let go of the back of the wheelchair

"These are muscles that I haven't stretched in a long time" Charles comments and I looked at him worried foe what may happen and Logan put his hand on my shoulder and I smiled at him and he smiled back at me and cerebro turned on and sucked in a large breathe as we saw all the people in the world but it was all red, not blue like it used to be and Charles looked around petrified and then everything began to spin around and I looked at Charles and he was looking at everyone and the readers were going up and down and I looked at hank as tommy and Amelia held onto my legs and hid their face in my legs and I put my hands on their heads and Charles sounded like he was going to be sick and I looked at Logan

"Charles" Logan called out to him and then Charles just shouted and everything exploded around cerebro and we all ducked away and Charles took of the helmet and put it on the controls and tommy and Amelia held onto Logan while me and hank held onto him and I leaned in front of him

"Charles, darling are you okay?" I asked him and he looked at me and nodded slowly and I sighed and pulled his hair out of his face and kissed his cheek while he held onto me for dear life for comfort and I held onto him

"I'll go check the generator" said hank and patted Charles and I looked at Logan and he nodded and I looked at hank

"Hank take Amelia and tommy with you please" I told him and he nodded and grabbed Tommy's  and Amelia's hand and walked out of cerebro and I continued to look at Charles

"Its not the machinery is it?" Logan asked and me and Charles shook our heads but both with different meanings

"I can't do this, my mind" Charles trailed of whisk shaking his head

"Yes you can" me and Logan said to him at the same time

"It won't take it" Charles argued

"It's a little rusty" Logan said and Charles looked at him

"You don't understand its not rusty I can flip a switch and I can turn the knobs but my power doesn't come from here" he explained and pointed to his head

"It comes from" he said pointing at his heart, his hands shaking but couldn't finish his sentence

"And it's broken" Charles declared and he looked at me and my eyes started tearing up and I looked down but Charles lifted up my chin

"But I want it to fix" he said and I smiled at him lightly and he turned his chair around and I stood up and Charles started to wheel away from me and Logan

"I feel like one of my students, helpless, it was a mistake coming down here, it was a mistake freeing Erik, this whole thing has been one bloody mistake. I'm sorry Logan but they sent back the wrong man" he said and Logan looked at me and I shrugged and looked down sadly, he's completely given up

"You're right" he called out and I looked at him confused and Charles stopped

"I know, it was actually supposed to be you but I was the only one who could survive the trip" he explained and me and him walked down to Charles

"And uh I don't know how long I've got here but what I do know is that a long time ago, well actually a long time from now, I was your most helpless student and you and Lydia unlocked my mind, you and Lydia showed me what I was, you and Lydia told me what I could be, I don't know how to do that for you, your right I don't but I know someone who might" He explained and Logan looked at both of us

"Charles, Lydia look into my mind" he said and I looked at him like he was mad

"You saw what I did to cerebro, you don't want me inside your head" Charles said and I looked at him

"You can't do anything worse then what's already been done Charles trust me" Logan assured him and then Charles eventually put his two fingers on his right hand on Logan's temple and his two fingers on his left hand on my temple snd I closed my eyes and prepared myself for what may happen and I saw all of Logans pain and w tear came to my eye and then I opened my eyes and I was laid down on a table with Charles and I sat up and looked around me
