Hercules groaned as he saw the light of day shining trough his bedroom curtains and the sound of his alarm going off. As he opened his phone to turn off the alarm he noticed the date and instantly frowned. November 7th, the worst day for Hercules for the past 3 years. He turned off the alarm and contemplated getting up for school. He soon remembered that there was a rally and got up.

Wearing his signature jacket along with black jeans and shirt, he grabbed his backpack and left for school. As he's walking to school, which is two miles away, he meets up with his two friends, Alexander Hamilton and John Laurens. It was an unspoken agreement that for the past three years in that very exact day all three of them would wear the same outfit. "Hey Hercules...You ready?" John asked as they approached the school. "Yeah...so after school we are all going to the park right?" He asked softly. Alexander nodded "yeah I'm going....how about you John?" John looked up at the sky, then back at the gates, he teared up a little at the memories and whispered loud enough for just the two to hear "How could I not?"
Hercules tried his best to not show much emotion sure its been three years but he wasn't over it. How could someone ever be over something like that? He heard it all "he's in a better place", " don't cry", "I'm sorry" but they where all empty words. Those people have never been trough what he's been, what all three have been trough. "Alright then, we should get going. The rally is going to start and I truly don't want to sit in the front."Hercules mumbled to himself. Right before entering the school gym they could hear the music of the rally. "Ugh please let us have top corner seats!," Hercules begged to himself. "Honestly, I don't see why you're say that if you know we basically own this school, we are the top dogs here. We can easily tell them to move." "Alexander has a point Hercules, I'm sure people know that that top bench is ours," John said as he stretched. Hercules nodded and walked into the gym and noticed that it was almost full and as John had said the bench was left alone. Hercules, Alexander and John all climbed up the stairs to the top bench. As soon as they sat down, Hercules got flashbacks to three years ago.

* Flashback*

"Hercules come here! Look what I found!" yelled a curly headed male with a thick accent. Hercules went down from the bench and over to his friend. "What is it?" he asked as he looked at a pile of notebooks. "I believe these are the notes of the last seniors. I mean look at them they're worn out and have last years date of graduation for the seniors, and its not just the top one I looked over them to check if all them had the date. They do and it appears that the last to put a notebook here left a note." His friend looked at one of the pockets in the notebook. Just as he had suspected there was a note; however, it was in code. "A code made by a senior, I mean from the looks of it they wanted someone to find these notebooks. We should take this to Alexander and John they will be able to find what it means. Remember, all four of us did come to this school for a reason maybe this is it," said Hercules looking over at the note. The curly head nodded and picked up half the stack of notebooks and hercules took the other half.
Both guys took the stacks over to an empty classroom, a classroom towards the back of the school near the exit to the track outside. It wasn't used as much and if it was it was by band or choir students. "Hey Alex we found these notebooks in the gym, they seemed to be well hidden, and turns out one of them has a note in code. We think it might have to do with the case we came here for. Think maybe you and John could figure out what it says?" Hercules asked as he put down the notebooks in front of Alexander. "Yeah, no sweat Herc." Alexander smiled got up "Hey John we got work to do, you almost done?" he asked as he walked over to John who was on another table to see what he was doing. "Yep just a little something more and this thing should start working again," John answered never taking his eyes off the computer, well a small device he made that could turn into a computer, that way they didn't have to carry a whole laptop.
"It crashed again? I had just fixed it!" yelled the curly headed boy as he put his hair up securing it with a hair tie. " Yeah well in crashed again." As soon as John finished fixing the tiny device the bell rung. "Guess its time for first period...that fast? we got here like...5 minutes ago" said hercules getting his things. "Yeah, time flies...well anyway I'll have this figured out by lunch or sooner. If there's anything important I'll text you guys and we'll meet up here immediately." Alexander said as he left the room.
After third period Hercules got his lunch and sat down at their usual table and waited. Anxious to know what the note said he started playing with his food. Almost everyone was at the table the only person missing was Alexander when they heard the door to the cafeteria slam open. All three teenagers turned to see a scared Alexander rushing towards them. "Guys i found what the note says. There's...there's supposed to be shooting in this school. Doesn't say when and the adults don't believe me. Maybe it's a fake but you never know, Hercules, the person that wrote this wass William, Any information on him?" he sat down and looked at him. Hercules was shocked at what he heard. "William....you mean William Harris?" he questioned hoping it would be a no, but alexander nodded. "Oh god there's a 80% chance its true. William has a record of carrying a gun with him at all times, he tried robbing a store, and he has some mental health problems. He came here just to finish his last year in high school since he got kicked out of his last school." he said.
Right after Hercules finished they hears shots. Alexander turned to see three man all in black holding their guns, and a junior on the ground, with blood coming out of his head. The rest of the shooting was a blur for Hercules, but the one thing he would never forget was Johns scream, "WATCH OUT!" and a shot.

*end of flashback*

Hercules could still see the image of his best friend on the ground bleeding. "Alright guys! Settle down." that was all Hercules heard before dozing off. Why did William leave the note? Why did he have to go? Why him? Was someone in the school a cooperate? Hercules took out his notebook and wrote a poem not really interested in the rally anymore. Sure it wasn't great as Alexanders writing but it helped him in a way.

I remember that day as if it was yesterday. Your laugh filling the room; nothing could take that away. Soon that laugh got further and further away. The silence unbearable as you took the last breath. You left, took everything with you, including my heart. Please come back my dear, I can't stand the dark. I need your laugh, your smile, your voice, your eyes. Let me see you once again! Can't you see you left me all alone in this world?! Why must you be selfish and leave with out warning? Can't you see I'm burning as days go by? Please come back my love, you're all I have, you're all I want.

Next thing you know people where leaving the stands. He put up his notebook and got his things. As Hercules got up he saw a jacket. The same jacket he was wearing, he quickly looked over to his side and saw Alexander and John next to him. Hercules rubbed his eyes and looked again, seeing as its not his eyes, he saw the same curly hair from 3 years ago. "LAFAYETTE!" he screamed and teared up. Alexander and John both looked at where Hercules was headed towards, they saw a jacket hanging from a hole in the bench. Now all three teared eyed looking at the jacket confused. This jacket was supposed to be in his house, that's where they left it. Why is it here? And who did Hercules see?
