Good Vs. Evil

It's a battle as old as time,
Only thing that remains certain is it's pave.

Although both equally have their moments to shine,
But only one can be the master of this play.

They're both quite opposite yet just the same.
Good and evil always find refuge in each other's name.

Good maybe born but evil is made,
The game maybe bright but there's always a little corner of shade.

They say good always wins but I know it's just an illusion.
It's nothing but a warm, blinding perception.

For in reality evil rules whereas good endures the pain,
Because the good has to play fair despite evil's malicious little games.

But I wish every day that someone could prove me wrong,
Cause up until now Evil's reign has only prolonged.

I desire a way to set the good free from it's boundaries,
So it could flourish outside books and legends.

Just like magic dust sprinkled by the fairies,
To change everything tragic for us that was originally destined.

But not when evil has bought all the land,
Because no matter which path you choose, good is always abandoned to strand.

Not when there's not a soul whose hands you can entrust.

It's like watching all the water swivel before your eyes but not a drop to quench your thirst.

And all of this could turn around in moments if we'd just raise our weapons high up in air.

Only if there was one heart pure enough to risk playing it fair.

Until then it's just a never ending warfare between good and evil with no fate to bear.
