Hello, my name is Niko Carza, it is pronounced Car-zah and no Car-zar. I will now share my story of how my life changed and how a certain someone saved me from myself.
This story contains Sexual Themes, Violence and Adult Language. If this disturbs or frightens you please read a different book.
It was a cold, wet winter night, the streets were covered in the damp moisture of the rain, I sat on a dumpster trying to keep my bottom half dry as the water ran through everything in it's path, like a crazed swordsman. I was in a bad state, cuts and grazes had covered my body from attacks and accidents, unfortunately it had taken a toll on my clothing and general health, I had a big cut on my chest it was infected which wouldn't help my pre-existing burn marks, there wasn't much I could do as I had nothing, not even a penny, I had my rags and that was it. Most people thought I was a cynic because of my attitude but while I wouldn't name myself a cynic, I was very close to one.
I shortly climbed in the dumpster, the rain and wetness getting to me, luckily it was empty but then again no Mayfly would want to go outside nowadays.
Yes I call them Mayflies, I'm not a Mayfly, I'm a Zat'ra or as they call us 'Catboys/Girls'. Stupid name.
The dumpster didn't smell of anything, strange... I guess my luck was turning around until I heard a knock on the top. "What Mayfly would be out now?" I pondered before the lid was opened, too reveal a women, not a girl but a women, I was perplexed and curious "Just what does she want?" I thought as she shot me a concerned glance, she then extended her hand towards me. I moved away on instinct, it broke my trail of thought and that hurt me on the inside.
"Are you okay little guy?" She asked me
"........" I watched her every move
"I don't bite nor mean any harm" She spoke with a calm tone as she moved closer, testing the waters.
"......." I moved to the back of the dumpster
She then climbed into the dumpster which stunned me as she was wearing a long trench coat that was cut off around the shins, trousers that wear slightly tight around her thighs and black leather boots. I couldn't see her shirt or sweater at all.
"Can you speak?" She then spoke worryingly
I shook my head
"Ah...can you tell me your name?" She then cocked her head to the side
I looked at her confused, she then pulled out a pen and a notepad, I then took it cautiously and quickly write down Niko Carza and handed it back quickly. It took her a moment to read out my name, she then looked at me and smiled slightly.
"Niko huh?"
I nodded
"That's a sweet name" she said as her voice trailed off
I looked away, I wasn't used to being complimented
"I'm sorry to be monotonous but are you okay?" She asked with the same level of concern as before
I looked at the floor and shuffled around uncontrollably. She then eyed my chest and infected cuts, before making a sad expression.
"Those...cuts on your arms and legs...they're infected, do you need medicine or any medical attention?" She said very clearly almost sharply
I perked up slightly, "This could be my chance! Or a trap..." I felt very conflicted, almost scared. She then came closer towards me as she brushed my cheek, on instinct I tried to back away but instead I hit my head on the dumpster and winced heavily as I clutched my head. She almost took a motherly stance as she quickly removed my hands and checked my head. No cuts just a lump.
"Niko.. I think you should come with me.. I have a place where you can be warm and healthy" She spoke with a small sigh
I looked at her with a glint of trust but I was still very split. She saw this and then pulled me close, which frightened me I bit down on her hand being careful not too break her skin. She frowned but didn't stop pulling me towards her, soon I was in her lap. Part of me felt nice, warm and safe despite the harsh rain being above my head, the other part of me felt danger, on edge and cold.
"Niko.. just relax... I won't hurt you" she said wrapping her warm arms around my stomach
I then began too purr softly, I was in bliss, a very soft and warm bliss, I didn't even notice when she moved but I did notice when we got outside and the rain was stinging me like bullets on my skin. She looked at me and my pouting, pained face, it only took 5 minutes to reach her car soon I was in and strapped in. That familiar sense of panic rushed through me but it died quickly, I was sat next too her with a blanket around my body, soaking up the rain.
"Niko? Are you okay?" She asked politely, keeping her eyes on the road.
"......" I smiled, I felt happy and now the once harsh, bullet-biting rain, was now a soft pitter-patter sound.
Pitter-Patter
Pitter-Patter
Pitter-Patter
"Niko?" She then looked over at me realising the trance and happiness I was in, she turned her gaze back other too the road.
I then shortly fell asleep...
