"Hide's POV"

We almost ended up pulling off an all-nighter doing our homework. What I didn't understand was how did we forget that today is actually a weekend and I feel stupid for that. For now, it's nice to not worry about homework, thanks to Raihen's help we were able to get them all done. He might be a pervert but he is quite smart.

I literally have nothing to do right now so I'm currently watching Arum and Raihen playing Cuphead together right after he came to pay a visit again. My best friend and I also played it together fighting one boss battle to another each level. The two are focused on fighting Cagney Carnation. He's not entirely hard but for some reason, I remember hating this level, the boss looks really annoying. I mean he's a flower.

'Knockout!' The game announced upon the boss being defeated.

"EZ!" Arum remarked. "So Raihen, do you shoot?" He asked.

"You know I do! Want me to show you?" Raihen wriggled his eyebrows.

"Fuck no! I meant we're shooting zombies," Arum replied.

"I'm only kidding! Sounds like a plan, Anyhow, we should go to the party together,"

"Riiight, I haven't figured out what to wear yet,"

"I think I'll go back home for now so I can get changed," Raihen told. "I'll see you both in a while, I'll be right back, see ya," He then stood up and left.

"See ya!" Arum waved. After Raihen left Arum turns to me and grabbed my hand.

"C'mon lets pick what we should wear,"

He led me to our closet and started rummaging through the wardrobe as I sat on the bed.

"I really have to go don't I?" I told as I sighed.

"Yeap! You have to be there! I'd feel empty without my best friend being there," Arum grins.

"You're just saying that," I tilted my head sideways awkwardly.

"I mean it Hide. Please don't be like that," He comes to sit beside me and smiles.

"Look at me," Arum told.

"What?"

"Just do as I say," He ordered.

"Okay, okay, I will," I followed. Arum's a bit persistent today for some reason.

"Now smile,"

"Wait, why should I-"

"Shhh..." He puts a finger onto my lips. "Do it like this," Arum pointed to his teeth as he demonstrates a big smile.

"I... I can't," I hesitate. How am I supposed to smile like this?

"Here let me help you," He suddenly placed his thumbs on my lower cheeks and raising it forcing me to smile.

"Hey!" I exclaimed. I tried to push him away but he wouldn't stop. I just ended up laughing because of his childishness.

"What's with you Arum?" I chuckled.

"See? You're much more handsome that way, I mean. I know it's not the most logical thing to do but, I just want you to look and feel good," He grinned. I also smile in return. Between anyone else I know, it's only Arum I can be most comfortable being with, so I don't mind being vulnerable every once in a while.

After I smiled, there was a brief pause between the both of us and we were just staring at each other. Arum's jaw is a little bit dropped so I can see his exposed set of teeth along with his pointed canine tooth quite clearly. He was just looking at me. Then he suddenly spoke.
