As Hayley slowly walked through the grunge town, her mind wandered back to Calum. He didn't seem like the type to trust. His tattoos suggested toughness, as well as his muscles, she thought. But he also seemed a really caring guy. Obviously they had only known each other for two days, but Hayley saw something more than just guitar lessons. There was something about Calum that Hayley felt comfortable about. Whether it was his personality, or something she hadn't even seen in him yet, she didn't know. But he was definitely something more to Hayley already. She wasn't comfortable enough to tell him everything. She hadn't told him about her parents, bullies, depression, or anything like that. She wondered if he could be the person to help her. To save her. She sighed, her breath turning into a white smoke-like substance in the air from the cold. She tucked her hands into her jeans. She shuffled quicker through the streets, running away from the decreasing temperature.

"You home?"Hayley's Mum,Jane, called.

"Uh,yeah."Hayley mumbled, closing the door separating her and the frozen atmosphere.

"Where've you been?"Jane asked, coming into view and placing her hands onto her hips. Hayley shrugged.

"Out."She muttered, shimmying off her coat.

"Why didn't you tell me?"Jane asked, walking up to Hayley. Hayley looked down.

"I told you I was going shopping,"Hayley argued, still hanging her head low.

"You didn't,"Jane hissed.

"I did.."Hayley mumbled. She didn't know what else to say. She could tell her mum was stressed from work, so she didn't want to mess with her.

"I'll just be up in my room.."Hayley informed, slipping off her boots and trudging upstairs, away from Jane.

Calum sighed as he slumped down onto his sofa. What was he going to do with Hayley? He wondered if he should text her, then remembered that he never had her number, he only gave his to her. What if she didn't want to see him again? Calum put his head in his hands and shook his head, as if he was shaking out all the bad thoughts. Surely she would have to come back for her guitar anyway, right? Just as he was thinking, he got distracted by his phone buzzing.

From: Unknown number

When's our next lesson?:)

Calum grinned. Hayley did want to see him again, and he quickly responded.

To: Hayley

Whenever your free?:P

Calum texted back, still grinning. What was it about Hayley that he was so fond of? Was it her pretty face? Or was it that he wanted to know her story? Both, kind of. she was a mystery, that's all he knew.

To: Calum

Tomorrow??

Hayley texted from her bed. All she wanted right now was a hobby. Something to distract her from all her depressing thoughts. She got up and quietly pranced over to her bookcase, and picked up a book called, 'Little House on the Prairie'.

She walked back over to her single bed, sitting on it and checked her phone.

From: Calum

Okay :P come at 2 x

Hayley smiled to herself. She was going to see Calum more often. She wondered, again, what it was about Calum. She had no idea. She decided to free her mind for a few hours, picked up her book and started reading.

"Hey,"Calum greeted Hayley, gesturing for her to come in. Hayley entered the familiar house and waited for Calum to close the door.

"Shall we get started?"Calum asked,

rocking on his heels.

"Sure."Hayley said, walking into his living room. He had set up the set, the guitar ready for her.

She picked it up and sat down, waiting for Calum. Calum walked in after her, picking up his own guitar. He started playing a really pretty, delicate, tune. His fingers moved gracefully, and almost made Hayley jealous of his skills.

"What?"Calum chuckled, noticing Hayley's blankness.

"Your really good at playing guitar."She stated, looking away from his guitar and to her own.

"You'll be as good as me someday,"He encouraged, smiling. Hayley looked at him, not saying anything.

"Er,okay. Let's start,"He said as he stopped playing his guitar and moved his eyes from Hayley's face to Hayley's instrument.
