"What am I doing next?" She asked, changing the subject.

"Let's just do a display of everything you can do." He glanced at the open room they'd just walked into. She followed his gaze. The room was a dome like shape, with glass walls. The glass was extremely thick, and Ace could feel, it was a barrier to keep whatever comes inside this dome from getting outside.

For the next two hours, Ace showed Captain everything she could do with her abilities. They fought eachother, Steve mostly winning when she didn't use her ice.

Ace ran at Steve, attempting a right hook which he blocked gracefully. He raised his other hand to punch her side, exactly where it would make her lose her breath. She twisted away from him, grabbing the back of his neck in an attempt to pull him down. Steve hooked his leg behind her knee and swept her feet out from under her. On instinct, Ace shot ice from her fingertips, trapping Steve where he stood. She quickly stood up.

"Really?" Steve asked, one eyebrow raised.

"Shit. Sorry. Just an instinct." She shook her head and melted the ice around his feet.

"Let's go again. No ice this time." Steve straightened his posture. Ace nodded, once again running to him. She imagined him as an enemy so that she would use the same force. Sometimes it was hard to fight Steve because he was so nice.

"Watch your left side. If an enemy notices that you have a weak spot they won't stop to correct you. They'll just stab you." Steve said as they danced through combat. Ace had been training with SHIELD for 5 years. She was decent at combat, but she was no match for Steve.

"Most regular enemies wouldn't take the time to notice a weak spot, Cap. They'd just fight." She panted. He swung at her right side and she blocked, twisting his arm out of reach of her. Just like he said, she wasn't covering her left side when he landed a harsh kick to her middle. She fell on her back, releasing his arm.

"We don't get the opportunity to fight 'regular' enemies very often." He smiled, looking down to her. He stretched out his hand and hoisted her up. "Let's take a break for now. Grab lunch?" Steve was still holding on to her arm when Tony walked into the dome.

"So I guess you were full of shit when you told the dragon story, huh?" Tony smirked, chewing on a toothpick. "Oh it's ok, I know you wanted to fit in."

"Stark, not in the mood for this." Ace warned as she stepped back from Steve. He glanced to her as her eyes stayed narrowed on Tony.

"Oh come on! Lunch can wait. Did you really show Rogers exactly everything you can do?" He cocked an eyebrow. She took a step back again.

"Stark, really. Cut it out." Ace found herself cornered and trapped. She narrowed her eyes to make it look like she wasn't scared, just angry.

"What are you talking about?" Steve asked looking from her to Tony. Ace could see a glimmer of curiousity but also a hint of concern. Those damn eyes. They're always searching.

"Nothing, Steve. There's nothing." Ace used his first name to see if he would soften. She swung her backpack over her shoulder and began walking when Tony put out his hand to stop her.

"What are you hiding from us, huh? What's the big deal? Are you lying about who you are? That's pretty pathetic. Don't you think, Rogers?" Tony glanced over at Steve.

"Tony-" Steve started.

"She's too afraid to show us what she is, how is she gonna help on the battle field?" He asked Steve, glancing back to her. "Look, I know you got battles to fight in your head, but leave us out of those. There are real battles out there. And we can't have a coward in them." Tony pointed his finger at her chest. He took steps to her as she took steps away.
