[ middle school ]
"mina!" mina looked behind her and saw her friend calling her. mina smiled widely and started walking towards her friend.
"i'm so glad i saw you, jihyo." mina exclaimed softly, which made jihyo laughed at her.
"i already told you that we'll be enjoying our middle school life together." jihyo said and mina just nodded in agreement.
"come on, let's go find our classroom." jihyo said and held mina's hand.
it's their first day of middle school and she was a bit nervous, it was a new school since her father got a job promotion and they could afford her to go to a new place. she was lucky that the school her parents decided her to go was the same school her friend named jihyo will be attending.
park jihyo is mina's only girl friend, they met because they got to be partners for a school project in elementary school and they became close ever since. jihyo lived in a different neighbourhood so they don't spend much time together after school but it was fine for mina, because she could spend time with jimin.
mina and jimin stayed as best friends but don't play with toys whenever they hang out after class, they usually go watch movies or play video games at each other's house. and if they have extra money, they would go at the ice cream parlor.
and mina's friendship with taehyung was average. they would go play sometimes but jimin told mina that he spends most of his free time playing with his neighbour too.
"there it is, mina!" mina went back to reality when she heard jihyo spoke beside. she looked up and saw their classroom, they both exhaled before entering.
"oh? mina-ssi?" mina was shocked to see jimin as she entered the classroom with jihyo. jimin was sitting with taehyung and another boy she doesn't know. mina bowed and so did jihyo.
"i'll sit near the window, i'll save you a seat beside me?" jihyo asked mina. she knows that mina wanted to speak to jimin first so she decided to give her time. mina nodded and jihyo smiled before going to the seat she wanted and place her backpack at the seat beside her so no one will take mina's seat.
mina nervously went to jimin, "hi, jimin-oppa and taehyung-oppa. i didn't know we'll be going to the same school." mina said with a smile. she was improving in speaking korean, with the help of jihyo and jimin.
"i thought my mother was lying about you going to this school." jimin said and rubbed his neck in embarrassment.
"mina-ssi!" taehyung said and went to hug her. they always hugged when meeting up with each other, they don't see anything serious there since they treat each like siblings, "you look pretty today, me and hyung will have to guard you more." taehyung joked and mina hit his arm jokingly.
"y-ya!" mina said and made taehyung laughed out loud, "mina-ssi, this is our hoseok-hyung." mina looked at the boy behind taehyung and bowed.
"you're my hope, i'm your hope. i'm j-hope!" the boy said and it made mina giggled at his cuteness, "you can call me j-hope instead, mina-ssi. i prefer to be called with that nickname." he said and mina nodded.
"oppa, i'll go to my seat now. bye!" mina said and bowed before leaving the three boys. she went to jihyo, who already made a new friend named dahyun.
'this is going a fun school year.' mina thought as she sat down on her seat and started speaking with jihyo's new friend.

"yes! lunch time!" dahyun exclaimed loudly, making jihyo and mina laughed. the three of them spent their whole morning together and they've become good friends.
they started walking to the school's cafeteria while chatting what happened earlier at their room.
when they arrived at the cafeteria, mina volunteered to look for a table for them while jihyo and dahyun order their lunch. jihyo already knew what mina's favourites were.
mina was still searching for a empty table when someone called her, "mina-ssi! here!" mina turned around and saw taehyung waving his arms around in the air.
mina giggled and went to where taehyung was, not knowing that it was making everyone in the cafeteria look at her.
jimin just got his lunch when saw everyone gave a glare on mina as she unknowingly walked towards their table. he forgot that they were pretty popular since elementary school and every girl that goes near them cause an issue.
jimin sighed with determination as he promised to protect mina at all cost.
