"eomma! can i play outside?" jimin asked his mother while holding his toy cars.
it has been years since the two children met and they have been inseparable ever since. since they go to different schools, they usually play after their classes of the day end. they never complain because they have little time to play with each other because they would play until nighttime.
"who are you going to play with?" his mother asked and looked away from her laptop.
"with mina-ssi! bye, eomma!" he said and immediately ran to the door, leaving his mother smiling widely.
"you don't have to shy about it, my dear jiminie." the korean mother said to herself before going back to her laptop.
jimin went to the house beside theirs and knocked on the myoui's door. after a few knocks, the door was opened by mina.
"let's play mina-ssi! i brought my toy cars for your dolls!" jimin said excitedly. mina giggled at jimin's approach, she told him to wait inside as she gets her dolls from her room.
jimin sat at the sofa at the living room patiently until mrs. myoui entered and was shocked to see him sitting at the sofa, "oh jimin? what are you doing here?" the japanese mother asked as she took a seat on the sofa beside him.
"me and mina-ssi are going to play our toys outside!" jimin said and the japanese mother just smiled.
"okay, jimin. please take care outside." mrs. myoui said and mina arrived at the living room just in time. she was carrying her dolls while wearing a big smile on her face.
"let's go, jimin-oppa" she said and pulled him towards the door.
"don't be out too late, mina!" the japanese mother exclaimed before the door was shut. she smiled to herself and continued reading the magazine on the table.

"mina-ssi, i invited my classmate to play with us. is it okay?" jimin asked mina who was busy brushing her doll's hair.
they are currently at their neighbourhood's park, they always go here to play because of the huge playground it has. they were sitting below a huge tree since they wanted to play with their toys today.
"of course, oppa." she said while still brushing her doll's hair. she was upset that he invited someone to play with them, not that she was selfish about jimin's time for her but she was scared of his classmate.
ever since she started going to school here, a lot of her schoolmates bullied her. she was left on the corner, understanding nothing since she wasn't that good speaking and understanding korean yet.
"mina-ssi? are you upset?" mina went back to reality when jimin called her. she looked at jimin with a small smile and shook her head like a "no"
"you are upset." jimin said with a frown. mina immediately felt bad and started to shake her head more.
"no! i am not, jimin-oppa. i promise!" she said quickly. jimin chuckled because she usually spoke really fast when she's nervous, "y-ya! don't laugh, oppa." she said with a pout.
jimin squeezed mina's soft cheeks, "aigoo, you are so cute, mina-ssi!" he said. mina pouted more and removed his hands from her cheeks. jimin continued laughing at mina, who was blushing so much from embarrassment.
"jimin-hyung!" someone called which made jimin stopped laughing. mina immediately covered her face with her long hair and continued brushing her doll's hair.
"taehyung-ssi!" jimin called and stood, mina looked up to see a boy ran towards them. he was also carrying toy cars for them to play.
"jimin-hyung, i brought my toy car-- oh hello!" taehyung greeted to mina, who was still avoiding his stare.
"who is she, hyung?" taehyung asked and sat beside mina. he tried to look at her face but she kept her face covered.
"ah, this is mina-ssi. she is my neighbour, we always play after school." jimin said and sat in front of his two friends.
"oh, okay!" taehyung said happily, "hi, mina-ssi! my name is taehyung!" he said and waved both of his small hands.
mina bowed her head shortly, "hello, t-taehyung..."
"me and hyung will be your oppa, okay? we'll protect you, mina-ssi." taehyung said to mina which made her smile.
