             Five years later

I sat at my desk, tapping away at the keyboard. Waiting for the end of the day. There was a knock at the door, revealing Landon Miles, my boss.

"Ms. Wilson, can I speak to you?"

"Sure, Mr. Miles." I said.

"Ms. Wilson, Gracelyn, how long have you been working for this company? He asked.

"Grace." I corrected.

"And I've been working here for 3 years." I continued.

"Right, and I've never seen you with anyone." He said.

"Landon, what's this about?" I asked irritated.

"Grace, how about I take you out on a date." He asked.

"No Landon." I said with a sigh.

He looked at little hurt, obviously never been told no before.

"Uh, why not?" He asked confused.

"Because I'm a lesbian."

"Oh, well I don't mind watching." He said.

I looked at him in disbelief.

"Goodbye Mr. Miles." I snapped.

He nodded his head, taking the hint and walked back to his office.

"Asshole." I muttered and went back to work.

"What was that about?" My best friend, Alison asked, walking in. She was holding two cups of Starbucks coffee.

"Landon asked me on date." I said rolling my eyes.

"You're a lesbian though." She said.

"I'm aware. I told him that. Then he said he doesn't mind watching." I explained.

"What a dick." She said with an eye roll.

"Anyway, I got you your favorite, a mocha frappuccino." She said, handing me the coffee.

I smiled,"Thanks Ali."

"No problem, how about we go out for a drink tonight. I know a great lesbian bar, you could maybe find a nice girl and get laid." She said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"I don't know Ali." I said hesitantly.

"Oh come on, it'll be fun." She said, trying to convince me.

"Fine." I said with a smile.

"Great." She grinned.

It was now the end of the day, and Alison and I were on our way to the bar.

We walked in and got a table, while Ali got drinks, and brought them to the table, we took a few shots.

I got up and went to the jukebox to play a song.

I eventually picked, 'Wonderful Tonight' by Eric Clapton, and started swaying still looking at the juke.

"I used to know someone who loved that song." A voice said behind me, causing me to jump.

"She used to do that too." The voice said. I turned around and seen a very familiar face.

"Alex?" I asked, not believing she was right in front of me.

She nodded her head, "In the flesh."

"God, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm here on a job, decided to have a little fun while I'm here." She answered.
