Tori has no idea how to react. Her mother had just told her she was going to divorce her father. Was she supposed to pop open a bottle of wine or champagne? Did her father cheat? Or worse her mother? So many questions flew threw Tori's mind, fogging her reality, until a toy hit her shin and she snapped back. "Owe," she whispered, taking the hard block toy from Jax. "No, sir, no hitting," Tori reprimanded, tucking the toy behind her back. She watched her son throw a short tantrum, before the huge red fire truck, Joey dropped, caught his attention. "Okay wait," Tori sighed. "Where is this coming from?" she asked. Laura slid off her jacket to get comfortable and laid back into the corner of the sectional.

"Honestly? Daddy and I just haven't been working for a while. And after your pregnancy, we just kind of drifted further. We don't even stay in the same room. It's just not good," Laura replied. Tori still didn't understand. Her mind would not wrap around the fact that her parents were anything less than strong.

"But, the entire time you guys were a united front. What happened to that?" Tori asked. Laura ruffled Jaxon's fluffy brown hair and sighed.

"It was an act. I mean, yeah we were typically on the same page, but we weren't always a team. For instance, when you and Dré wanted to sell your car and get the SUV you have now, your farther freaked out. And we fought for a three days, because he believes I'm too lenient with you," Laura explained. Tori's eyebrows furrowed.

"Lenient? He does realize I'm an adult right? I can make my own decisions, especially when I live in my own house and ask you guys for literally no financial help," Tori snapped back. Laura held her hands up in defense.

"Hey, I tried to tell him and he didn't care," she replied. Tori rolled her eyes and picked up Joey, smelling that one of her boys needed a diaper change. Thankfully, Tori could tell it was just pee and grabbed a diaper and the wipes from beside the couch.

"I'm a mom. When is he going to see that I'm not a child anymore? I'm getting married in May, like, what?" Tori frustratedly spoke, as she quickly changed the baby's diaper. Laura watch her daughter interact with her grandsons and was impressed.

When they were infants, Tori had a time, being home by herself. But with the boys being mobile and more independent, Tori was definitely getting the hang of things. Although, that was not about to distract Laura from a more pressing issue. "How are you getting married if you aren't engaged?" Laura asked. Tori sat Joey in her lap, getting ready to nurse him and held out her left hand.

"You didn't notice that my ring was different...and on the other hand, this entire time?" Tori asked, shocked since her mother was usually so observant. Laura shook her head, taking a closer look.

"When did this happen?" The confused mother inquired. Tori chuckled, taking her hand back and adjusting Joey in her lap a bit. Jealously, Jax toddled over and started to pull at Tori's shirt.

"The night before I went labor. We were at the pond and he asked me," Tori answered moving her sons hand. "Jax, What are you doing? You haven't nursed in 6 months. Go to grandma, she'll hold you," Tori said, hoping that would appease her son's green eyed monster. Laura pulled the child into the small space of couch behind her leg, letting him play without having to actually be under him.

"A year ago? You got engaged a year ago and you never thought to tell me?" Laura flipped. Tori scoffed, motioning to her most recent job.

"I became a mom. And I was literally too focused on giving birth the two days after, and from then I became overwhelmed with twin things and never got around to it. I figured you knew and just didn't want to mention it around Daddy," Tori self defended. Laura took Tori's hand back, checking out the simple band with a huge diamond.
