I John 4:16-17
"And we have known and believed the love that God has for us, God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him."
"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world."
(We ought to abide in love: for God is love. Love unconditionally all people; saints and sinners alike. Love cares for. Love is good. But love also rebukes and chastises. For God chastises us as a beloved son or daughter. Do not be confused with society's false love: for it is a poison. Love as the Bible says: with kind words and a caring heart, but also with self-discipline, punishing your children with the 'rod' to spare their souls from Hell (Proverbs), telling others of the greatness of God, but also how dead they are without Him. Jesus loved all. Yet he rebuked, he chastised, and he challenged many. This was all done in love. Love as God. Not as man.)
