For someone who's family's deli shop burned down just yesterday, I'm really happy today – too happy. Honestly, why would someone who's only had about three and a half hours of sleep and is going to a typical high school party tonight be happy? If you know the answer, please hit me up, I am thoroughly confused of my emotions.

So, today I decided to walk home from school despite Flash's objections. On the way back home I was feeling intrepid (my word of the day, did I use that right?) and took a different route than usual. It was an extra 15 minutes and I did stop to buy a churro, but it's fine, my parents aren't home to notice my absence at all.

The route I found took me through a few alleys which were pretty sketchy, but for some strange reason I wasn't paranoid or even slightly on edge, which is not normal for me at all. Honestly who even am I today? And get this, now I'm on the roof of some rundown apartment building writing in a journal like some character from some romance movie. So, where's my Noah Calhoun at?

I'll admit, the view of New York's skyline is actually quite beautiful if you ignore the visible air pollution. Spider-Man is lucky he gets to see this everyday, but I assume it must get pretty boring after a while. Who knows, maybe I can ask him tonight at Liz's party...that's if he shows up. I wouldn't blame him if he doesn't, if I was him I wouldn't want to go to a high school party. But I can't say I won't be a little disappointed if he doesn't.

Anyways...Peter is coming over tonight to work on a physics project so I gotta bounce. I've had one too many partner projects to do at school this week and honestly my energy to socialize with people is depleting. Flash swears that will change tonight and that the party is gonna be "totally baller." So I'm holding him to that. If the party isn't baller he has to buy me lunch for the next week. I'm getting tired of sandwiches.
