Carter pov

We had spent the last few days out running a killer bull. Unlike Sadie and Walt. I wasn't going to quote on quote accept the inevitable. I knew Zia was alive I just had to get her out. "Carter you're being ridiculous" Sadie argued "Yeah I got to agree with Sadie on this one there's no way she's alive dude" Walt agreed " Yes there is and i'm going to help her. Whether you help me or not" I turned and walked away. Determined to help Zia whatever it takes. Then I heard a voice in the distance. A voice I knew all to well "NO,NO,NO" I said hoping I was wrong. Unfortunately I wasn't. I saw Zia but the voice that came out of her mouth wasn't hers. "KANE!" The voice of Kerphi spoke through her. "Your time has come. Zia Rashid is mine now" "How?!" I asked "How are you evil?!" "Lord Tartarus is very...persuasive. He knows ones true desires and dreams. He makes them reality. The Greek. The Roman. The Egyptian. The Norse. None are fit to rule" Anger swelled up inside me. It was because if Tartarus that we were in this mess. It was because if Tartarus that Zia was dying. It is because of Tartarus that evil exists. Now we were gonna change all that. "I'll give you one chance to hand over Zia and turn to our side. If you don't then we will banish you into oblivion" the corrupted god laughed "You think your threats scare me?" He asked "Ha! You will die with the rest of you friends" Then the instincts of Horus kicked in. I drew my sword stood at guard stance. Like Annabeth taught me. I waited for Kerphi to attack first. I was ready when he tried to shoot me with a sunbeam. We traded blows and super awesome attacks. But eventually battles have one victor. I fell to my knees at the mercy of Kerphi. "How disappointing" he said "And to think Horus chose you. Your weak and your emotions blind you. You could've backed out of this but now your time has come. Any last words?" he concentrated his hand on me. I took a deep breath and said "You wanna know why I don't give up. My last words will be just three. VICTORY OR DEATH" I told him. I closed my eyes and prepared to die
