"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" they all shouted as they entered my bedroom.
"Momma, what time is it?" I asked rubbing my eyes from my slumber that was so rudely interrupted. Hello! My name is Katrina Herondale, daughter of Will and Francesca Herondale. Today is my fourth birthday and when I get to start my training! I know what you're thinking. . . that four years old is a little early to start training, but, not for our pack! Here is a little backstory. . My dad, William Herondale that is, is a Shadowhunter and my mother Francesca is a tribrid! She is a Werewolf, Faerie, and Warlock hybrid. What is so special about that? Warlocks can't procreate! When my momma found out she was pregnant she was so surprised! Well, I am the youngest child. Ethan, Nicholas, and Chloe, are my other siblings oldest to youngest. My two brothers are ordinary Shadowhunter's since it's rare for males to carry the tribrid gene my mom has so graciously passed to my sister and I.
"It's 5:00am Kitty! Now that you start training you have to wake up with the rest of us." Nick butted in.
"Ugh, I didn't sign up for this Nicky! I don't wanna wake up right now...just let me sleep in for today."
"Nope!" He replied popping the 'P' "Now get up babooshka! you've got a long day ahead of you!"
"He's right." Dad counters "You are four now, that means you have to eat your breakfast then come outside! It'll be fun Katrina. Come train with us outside and then your mother will take over your magic skills, okay?"
"Yes, sir" I say as I get out of bed putting my uniform on. The black leggings and sports top fit perfectly on my tiny, tanned, body. The best thing is, that, with my night black hair I'm almost invisible in the dark! That is until you take my ocean blue eyes into consideration...everyone in the pack calls me 'pthmno' (pat-heem-e-no) which stands for 'phantom' because of the dark way I'm always dressed.
Sighing, I make my way out of my room into the second best place on earth. The kitchen! Bedroom is a third and library is the first! After eating my eggs, bell peppers, onions, and bacon I am off to start my day. 'Help me' I silently pray.
Sorry for the short chapter but I just wanted you to get a feel for Katrina and her family! Next chapter will take place when she is 16, her personality doesn't really change but her attitude does!
