"And I knew he was wearing the ring, okay? It was kinda hard to miss." Damon sighed.

"You didn't know it was one there." Elena huffed, looking out of the window. Alaric and I shared the look again.

"You know.." I chucked, trying to diffuse the topic. "If it makes you feel any better Jeremy said that he hasn't slept that good in a while."

Alaric sighed.

"When did you talk to Jeremy?" Elena asked, looking at me.

"Today, we played a game." I shrugged, grabbing a chip and placing it in my mouth.

"Alone?" Elena asked, raising a brow. I stopped chewing and smiled.

"Not the whole time." I said nervously.

Alaric sighed again and no one spoke until we got there.

When we got into the school and towards Isobel's office, we saw a girl rummaging through drawers while her dog laid beside her desk on a bed.

It lifted its head when it saw us and started growling. Then, it stood up on all fours and It started to bark.

Once we got closer I realized it was showing it's teeth and continued to bark. But not at all of us, just me. Instinctively, I hid behind Damon.

"What did you do? Take its bone?" Damon asked. I shook my head.

The girl and I made eye contact and she smiled.

"He's cautious of..strangers." She replied softly, looking me up and down before doing the same to Damon.

"So am I but I don't bark." I mumbled.

"You should." Elena mumbled back, causing me to smile.

"I'll grab the light. Feel free to look around." The woman said.

"It's fascinating isn't it?" She added before leaving.

I stood next to Damon looking through the book case. He turned to me and looked down at my neck.

"Is that a bite?" He chuckles. Elena looks in my direction and I pull my jacket up higher.

"No." I hiss. When she looked away I glared at Damon and smacked his arm. He chuckled and rubbed the spot where I smacked him.

"Where'd she go?" Damon asked. I turned and saw her hold a cross bow to Elena.

"Lena!" Before I knew it I was in front of her holding the arrow. I didn't have time to realize what I was doing before I rushed up to her and grabbed her throat, taking her and pushing her in a chair.

"Okay! I'm sorry I freaked! All right. You would have done the same thing! It is not possible. Katherine Pierce cannot be alive, Damon Salvatore died in 1864 and your kind are extinct!" She yelled.

"Well obviously here I am, and here's Damon, sadly." I hiss.

Damon walks in with Elena.

"Ouch, vampire wannabe." He said. I rolled my eyes and clenched my fist.

"I'm Elena Gilbert, Isobel's daughter, and a descendant Of Katherine Pierce." Elena said.

"This is Damon Salvatore and Keira Pier. The one you shot at." She added.

"I'd be extra nice to me right now." I said through gritted teeth.

I walked around the room, ignoring most of their conversation because it bore me.

I reached my fingers over the books and smirked at the different creatures that held their own stories.

Vampires.
Werewolves
Witches
Sirens
Seers
Shapeshifters
Originals.

I opened up a random book from those without bothering to look at the name and turned to a random page.

Their gift can be triggered by seeing a loved ones death. Most of their kind wear an enchantment around them to prevent from a death affecting them.

With this charm they can witness as much death as they can, but will not enact the gift.

Their weakness can be known as-

"Hey! Kiki. Come check this out." Elena said behind me.

I put the book back and walked over to where they were.

...

What we learned from the woman was exactly what we needed to about werewolves.

Their bites...lethal.

I heard my phone buzz and I checked my screen.

5 missed calls from 'Stefan😑'
2 Missed calls from 'Care-Bear😫'
9 Missed calls from 'Ty-Ty🥴'

"What the hell is going on back home?" I asked once everyone was in the car.

"I had a couple missed calls from Stefan, said something happened with Matt." Elena said. I felt my stomach drop.

"Damon. We need to get home. Now." I said. He nodded, understanding that if Elena was in the same position he'd be just as scared.

I quickly called Matt up.

"Hey, Keira. What's up?" He asks.

"I heard something happened with you. Are you okay?"

He chuckles.

"I'm fine. Just a little animal attack. I'll live. You should've come to the party though. It was fun." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes.

"Don't scare me like the, Matty." I scolded. Then I hung up once we got to Tyler's house.

"Thanks for coming with us." Elena said. I nodded and said goodbye to them all before rushing inside.

Also I took out the relationship with Tyler because it was so weird lmao. I know how I choose my men I guess.
