Lost Cause (Steven Universe Fanfic)

"Woooaaaah..." Steven gasped in awe. The girl turned to Pearl, and cocked her head to the side a little. The girl asked, "Pearl? Is that really you?" Pearl immediately hugged her. "You two know each other?" Steven asked. "Oh Steven! This is Topaz Galaxy!" Pearl said introducing the girl. "Hi, I'm Steven Universe!" the boy said introducing himself to Topaz. "Okay, Steven. Wanna see something cool?" the girl asked. As always, Steven became excited and nodded. "Steven, watch this!" Topaz said with her two tear-drop shaped gems glowing and sparkling. Topaz concentrated hard and started flying. "WEEEE!"

"AWESOME!" Steven exclaimed. "Incredible!" Pearl added. "You finally have powers in your gems!" "Heh heh, wait, what? Pearl, whadda ya mean by finally having powers?" the now confused boy asked. Topaz fell from ten feet in the air and landed with a loud thud. "Topaz is just like you, Steven. She doesn't have many powers in her gem, er--in this case, gems, yet." Pearl explained. Topaz got up and rubbed her head. "By the way, have you seen Rubious, Aquamarine, or Peridot anywhere?" the girl asked, looking around for her three friends.

Rubious

Almost suddenly, three more little gems warped from out of nowhere; A ruby, an aquamarine quartz, and a peridot. Steven, now excited and anxious, asked Pearl and Topaz, "There are more Crystal Gems? Why didn't you tell me?!" The ruby split into two, and floated in midair two feet away from each other, and a foot above Topaz's height. They glowed, and formed the outline of what seemed to be Garnet, but smaller. There was a firece glow of a light phoenix, which died away and showed the person. He looked like Garnet and Pearl, with the short sorta spiky hair, and being tall, and looking more like Garnet, with the skin and lips and other features. The tall boy had glasses on like Garnet's, black-ish red hair, brownish red skin, and wore a red jumpsuit, harder like Garnet's suit or whatever. He had his round gems on his hands, the opposite side of Garnet's. The warp pad lit up. The boy turned to see Garnet. For a few minutes, there was silence. "Rubious?" Garnet asked the boy, showing actual emotion and breaking the silence. "Garnet?" the boy asked in return.

Peridot

Next it was the peridot's turn to glow and float. The little triangle-shaped gem floated up to Amethyst's chest height, and started to sparkle and glow fiercely. There was a glow and shimmer of a cougar. It faded away, same as the outline of a girl did too. It showed what seemed to be a literally greener, yet what looked like a tad smaller version of Amethyst. Her hair, her mouth, her appearance, everything! Amethyst's door opened. "Hey has anyone seen my torta--*GASP*" Amethyst said once her head popped out the door. She rammed Peridot into a hug. "PERRIEE!" Amethyst exclaimed.

Aquamarine

Last was the aquamarine quartz. The cresent-shaped crystal floated up into the air at about the height of Steven. There was the holographic glow of a lion. It looked a lot like Lion, but it wasn't pink. It started to run at Pearl, but it disappeared, leaving behind a girl. It looked a lot like... Steven's mother. The hair, the mouth, even where the girl's gem was. Her hair was curled, and was a really really pale light baby blue. She was wearing a crop top, showing her gem. The top was a real pale royal azure, she was wearing light coloured jeans too, ending with a pair of light Mary Janes. "Yay! Marina's here!" Topaz cried out.
