The time was 11:04 pm, it was bright on my phone. I yawned, stretching on the couch.

"Ready for bed kiddo," my dad then said getting up and slapping me on the shoulder.

I smiled rubbing my shoulder as I nodded my head. I got up and headed to my room that was up stairs. While dad, mom, and my sister Brianna stayed in the living room. As I opened the door I heard a loud smash, glass breaking it sounded like. The sound made me jump, I then went down the hall to the stairs to see what had happen. As I reached the stair case, bam, my heart froze it was a sound of a gun shot followed by a scream. My mom. I couldn't move, bam, bam, two more rounds of a gun went off. Thud, something or someone fell. I ran down the stairs and peered at the living room hiding my trembling body with the wall. Tears filled my eyes, my dad was on the ground bleeding from the head.

"Please, please you can have whatever you want." My mom started as she held Brianna close to her. Which Brianna was 17 but small for her age, she was shaking. "Don't hurt her ple-" my mom pleaded to the black figure in front of her and Brianna, when bam, right through her head.

She fell with a thud, blood staining the carpet. Brianna stood there and then she turned her head to see that I was there. Looking at me, blood splattered on her freckled face, and glasses. She froze our eyes meting, her eyes watering, then she ran towards me. I stepped back reaching my arms out to her, but the person in the black mask was too fast. He ran bam, Brianna stopped she then held her chest blood dripping from her hands. He shot her in the back, it must have went to her heart because she looked at me and- Her eyes fell to the back of her head as she fell to the ground. Blood dripping from her back and chest like she was a glass of wine that was knocked of the table. I looked at the person in front of me, about six feet away. Fear ran through me, he lifted the gun.

"I can't die, I don't want to die," the words screamed in my head, I turned the corner as fast as a could, I then sprinted up the stairs. The front door was to far away I wouldn't make it in time.

"Think," my brain howled at me.

I made it up the stairs but as I was about to turn the corner to go down the hall to my room, bam, I tried to dodge it. Pain then shot through my left arm, I screamed in pain. The person shot my arm, I held it with my right hand. Blood dripping in between my fingers that held my left arm. Turning the corner I ran down the hall to my room, the door opened. I reached and grabbed the door handle and shut the door locking it, with one quick move. I looked around my room franticly then spotting my desk chair. Hearing footsteps nearing my door I grabbed the chair, trying to drag it to the door with my good arm. Pain echoed in my left arm as I placed the chair so the door would be even harder to open. Loud banging came as I stepped back grabbing my arm.

"I don't want to kill you Sam," the killer said.

My heart stopped, I know that voice. My body shook and my arm ached.
'M-m-my biological dad, he killed my step dad, my mom, my sister.' My head screamed at me.

"NO! RICHARD, I HATE YOU!!! YOU KILLED THEM!!" I screamed at the person on the other side of the door, tears falling down my face.

He hit the door again, making me jump. "DON'T CALL ME THAT, I'M YOUR DAD! NOT THE PIECE OF SHIT DOWN STAIRS!! OPEN THE DOOR!!" He the yelled back at me banging on the door trying to open it.

Adrenaline shot up my veins, I threw off my shirt wincing in pain because of my arm. Richard was still trying to open the door, and he was yelling. I then grabbed a white scarf from my closet, wrapping it around the wound trying to stop the bleeding. I bit back the pain as I wrapped the scarf tighter around the wound, blood claiming its place on the scarf. I struggled trying to put on a t-shirt on and stumbled to put on my shoes. I found my backpack throwing it open I shoved in some clothes, my iPad, charger, and my- I then realized that I had left my phone down stairs, I couldn't call the police now and my iPad was dead.
