"You're quite cuddly though. I find you really cute," Raihen ruffles his hair before giving him one more sniff. I almost snort a laugh, I actually agree, I find him cute, nobody has ever been like this to Hide before, I find it entertaining to watch.

While the three of us walked the hallways, my phone vibrated and rung in my pocket playing the Wily's Castle theme song from Megaman 2. I immediately answered.

"Arum speaking," I said.

"Sport!!! How are ya?!" A familiar voice came out of my phone. Oh. It's my dad.

"What is it, dad?" I asked.

"I just wanted to check on you, I hope you and Hide are still getting along well."

"We're fine dad, anything else you'd like to say?" I asked.

"Ooh! Did you hear about the new restaurant on the moon? Great food, no atmosphere."

"Oh my god," I facepalmed myself. Here we go again.

"Why can't you breed an eel with an eagle?"

"Why?" I asked.

"It's 'Eeleagle'!"

"Daaaad!" I groaned.

"Okay, okay I'll stop. I just missed you, little tiger."

"I'm not a kid anymore, I told you to stop calling me nicknames," I annoyingly replied. I swear this is really embarrassing. My dad then took a deep sigh.

"Look sport, I'm really sorry for what happened to me and your mother, I know you'll never forgive me for it."

"Father. Don't apologize, I already forgave you a long time ago."

"But-"

"Look, dad, I love you and all that.  But I really have to go. I'll call you later I promise."

"Wait."

"What now dad?" I asked.

"You promise? I have good news actually."

"Yeah sure, whatever. Dad, can I put down the phone now?"

"Take care sport! Your dad loves you very much!" He told. I chuckle in return.

"Okay dad," I smile and hang up. I take a deep sigh afterward.

'You aren't exactly making things easier for me dad' I thought.

"Your dad called," Hide says.

"Yeah," I nodded. Mom and dad weren't always exactly in best terms with each other, they kind of grew apart and kept quarreling each other. In the end, they got divorced.

Sure I was devasted, but I'm not the type who lets anything keep me upset. Let bygones be bygones they say. I wish things could've been better, I don't want that to happen to me and Hide. I mean, not the divorce part, but us. Our friendship was different. He was always there, and thanks to him I was able to prevent myself from doing self-destructive choices. He may not realize it, but every day I'm just glad we're always together.

"Hide! Arum!" We heard someone called our names from behind. The very familiar red-head.

"Schneider, it's you again!" We gave a brofist to each other and he does the same to Hide.

"I don't think I'll ever get old seeing the two of you together all the time," Schneider jokes. He's suddenly surprised when he notices Raihen who is with us.

"Whoa, who's the new guy? Never seen you before," Schneider asks.

"This is Raihen, he just transferred to our class today. Raihen this is Schneider, he's an old friend of ours and we used to learn violin together," Hide replied.
