A Script for a play in English Class

Part 1

Joselito: "It is possible, my child" he then faced the audience "I have a wide land in Tandag, many of which were rice fields in Ilaya (suburban or out of town). Mariana is my only child and her mother died after she gave birth to her"

Mariana then opened the letter

Mariana: "Father! He is coming to town!"

Joselito: "And he will be here tomorrow"

Mariana: "Thank you father"

Early in the Morning, Juliana was hanging clothes outside

Angelo: "Juliana!"

Juliana: "Angelo! You scared me"

Angelo: "I brought Puding from Tago"

Juliana: "Oh thanks... is this not for señor?"

Angelo: "Of course not! I brought that for you" they looked at each other for a long time

Juliana: "You're very kind" she then yawned

Angelo: "You must be still sleepy"

Juliana: "ah yes, my client last night he...." She stopped "I'm sorry, I didn't have enough sleep. I should go back" then Angelo caught Juliana's hand

Angelo: "Juliana, I want to help you" Juliana released her hand

Juliana: "I hope it is that easy. My family's debt is not small"

Angelo: "I acquired land and I'm a friend to Señor Vicente."

Juliana: "My conscience cannot accept troubling you and dealing with señor Vicente is not easy at all! Save yourself from this trouble, I wish to run but I cannot and I shouldn't"

Angelo: "Marry me, Juliana"

Juliana: "What?"

Berlinda: "Jul...lianaaaa" she saw Angelo "oh, maayong buntag Señorito Angelo" (good morning)

Angelo: "maayong buntag"

Berlinda: "It's time for breakfast Juliana, join us señor"

Angelo: "No, I have business to attend to."

Berlinda: "Are you sure of that?" he nodded

Angelo: "Think of it Juliana, I'll excuse myself señoritas" he left

Berlinda: "What is señorito Angelo doing here early in the morning?" Juliana was spacing out "Uyyyy...."

Juliana: "He just gave this to me" Berlinda peeked at the basket

Berlinda: "uy puding!"

Juliana: "hide it, let's eat it in our room later" she looks at the audience "we won't be able to enjoy them when they are around" Berlinda look at the audience too with furrowed brows and then hid the Puding.

Berlinda: "Right!"

Mariana: "Father, what time is he arriving?"

Joselito: "Patience my child"

Mariana: "Father he is here!"

Joselito: "Act like a lady Mariana!"

Mariana: "Okay!" she laughed and sat obediently

Then Angelo knocked on the door and Mariana stood to open the door but her father stopped her. Joselito gestured her to sit down and then he went to open the door

Angelo: "Maayong Buntag Señor!"

Joselito: "Maayong buntag senyorito Angelo, come inside"

Angelo took off his shoes

Joselito: "No, wear your shoes inside"

Angelo: "I wouldn't dare! Your floor is shiny like a mirror!"

Joselito: "Suit yourself"

Angelo: he took off his hat "Maayong buntag señora" he greeted Mariana

Mariana: "Maayong buntag Señorito Angelo" Joselito felt relief when Mariana behave herself

Joselito: "I believe you already met my daughter before"

Angelo: "I did, once, during the fiesta last year" then they sat

Mariana: "and then we started writing letters" Angelo furrowed his eyebrows

Joselito: "That's a good thing to hear" he cleared his throat "There's something I would like to discuss with you" Angelo focused his attention to Joselito while Mariana focused her eyes on him "You heard the attack of the Japanese in Zamboanga right?" he nodded "I'm already old-"

Angelo: "You're not that old-"

Joselito: "I'm already old and nobody will take care of my daughter, my relatives were all greedy and I couldn't trust anyone"

Mariana: "Father..." Angelo is puzzled

Joselito: "Marry my daughter" Angelo chocked

Angelo: "What?"

Mariana: "Father? That is- that..." she blushed and she felt shy

Joselito: "You're a capable young man!"

Angelo: "I'm sorry wait.... No"

Joselito: "I helped your family before, as "utang kabubut-on" you should also help me with this!"

Angelo: "We're talking about marriage!"

Joselito: "You are not betrothed"

Angelo: "I-I am!"

Mariana: "I never heard of that!"

Joselito: "Break it!"

Angelo: "Can you hear yourself saying that?"

Then a bomb fell from the sky and they all died

AHAHAHAHA just kidding! So this is my dilemma. I know how my stories start and end I don't know how to write the journey in the middle XD. Comment down for continuation and motivation. I think you all noticed that I got lazy writing their actions in the latter part. Script writing is different from novel writing so be kind to me with this. Thank you everyone <3.
