Percy POV
I can't believe it. They're dead. They're all dead. Frank. Hazel. Leo. Jason. Piper... Annabeth. Oh gods. Annabeth. I don't think I can function without her. Stupid Geae. Stupid nosebleed.
Flashback
I ran around the battle field chopping down monsters left and right with the gods helping out where they could. I ran towards any demigod that needed help. It worked for awhile... until I heard an ear splitting shreak. I sprinted towards the noise. It was Piper with a dagger through her chest. She was the first to go. Jason was next. He got a cyclop's club to the head. Leo got drowned in dirt. Frank was to exhausted after morphing into so many animals. Hazel got an arrow through her heart and chest. Annabeth. She was fighting Geae on her own and that cost her her life. She got Geae's sword through her chest while being held up by Geae. I screamed in agony and rage. It was like I felt the same pain she was going through. I looked down, and realised I had a dagger through my chest, just not in a fatal spot like Annabeth. Geae dropped her and I ran as fast as I could over to her.
"I love you. Move o-on. Be ha-happy. I'll see you in Ely-" Those were Annabeth's last words and I just cried harder as I saw the light leave her eyes.
Gaea had the audacity to comment "Look how the mighty have fallen. Is this the "amazing" Perseus Jackson? Is this the best you've got? Can't function without your Annabeth? What would happen if I got to your parents to? How would you react? Would you be completely shattered?"
I stood up at those words and wipped my tears. I grabbed Riptide and stalked forward. "How dare you. First you kill Annabeth, then you talk about touching my parents? You have crossed a line Gaea." Props to me for saying that completely calm. I think that's what scared her the most.
I keep walking forward until I was about 6 feet away from her. When I got that close, we surged towards each other and we were locked in an intensive battle, the gods chained up behind us looking upon us with horror and shocked expressions.
Geae and I kept dodging each other's attacks. That was until I cut her across her sword arm. The downside, she grazed my already open wound in my chest. I winced in pain, but keeped fighting. We fought for what seemed like an hour, but was probably only about 20 minutes, when I got a fatal blow on her. She got the same injury she gave to Annabeth, a sword right through her chest. As soon as Gaea died, I went over to the gods and freed them, then I went over to Annabeth's body and cried and screamed in anguish.
