Y/N'S POV
'BEEEEEP!' I immediately groan as I was awakened from my precious sleep and buried my head further into my soft squishy pillow, not wanting to move. After 10 seconds I couldn't take the sound of my alarm anymore and threw it at the foot of my bed. That was when it hit me, I'm finally going to Taiwan to visit my relatives. I immediately get out of bed, forgetting how tired I was and rush to the bathroom to do my morning routine.
You see, I was born in Australia after both my mum and dad moved here and I have to wait until the Christmas holidays every year to fly back to Taiwan to visit my relatives. I was extremely close with my cousins and we always hung out together, playing basketball and annoying others around us. However the cousin I am closest to, is Liam. We are both the same age which makes it so much more easier to understand each other, and we also take basketball seriously. He was the one that got me into basketball and helped me get to the level I play at today.
Time skip...
It was now 5am in the morning and we have arrived at the airport getting ready to board onto our planes. My phone was constantly going off, half of the messages were from my friends complaining about how I'm leaving them for the holidays and how we won't be able to spend some time together during our rare school break, and the other half were from girls telling me how much they love me and to answer their confessions. Although I have had many cute girls who have confessed to me, I politely turned them all down. I never really thought too much about dating someone since I was focused in basketball, hoping to make it my career.
At school, I have a good group of friends who I've known since primary school, and we are all very close. Many girls try to get with us since we are all known as very good basketball players and quite good looking (no homo lmao), however most of the girls try and flirt with me since being Asian in Australia is already unique and it doesn't help that Kpop is becoming quite popular here, which makes good looking asians stand out even more.
People always say to me that I look like Jungkook from BTS, but I personally don't see it. Probably because I don't listen to BTS or Kpop in general in my spare time to see what he looks like, since I can barely tell his group members apart. I always play hard to get and act cold to others except for my friends, causing numerous amounts of students to fear us even though we don't physically hurt anyone.
I was lost in my thoughts when suddenly my mum snaps her fingers in front of me. "Get up, I've been calling you for a while now, we are boarding the plane now." She says. "And I have to apologise again, sorry for making you stay with Liam for the third year in a row. Ever since your grandparents moved into a smaller house they couldn't find enough room for you and it would be to squishy to have all of us stay in one room."
"No don't worry about it mum! I'm more than happy to stay with Liam, we never get bored since we are always out playing basketball or annoying others." I reply with a smile, before immediately jumping up and rushing into the plane, looking forward to seeing my relatives again.
Tzuyu's POV
A week before...
I was so glad that JYP gave TWICE a long 3 month break since we released so many hit songs this year. After hearing the exciting news, I had to go back to Taiwan to visit my family and my childhood friends, I could even celebrate Christmas over there with them. After talking with my members about my plans, we all decided that we all go to Taiwan and enjoy the 3 months over there.
Present time... (Imagine Tzuyu talks Chinese to her cousins and childhood friends and talks Korean with her members)
After arriving in Taiwan, I caught up with my parents and they decided I stay with my childhood friend who my parents know really well since they don't have a spare room in their apartment. Liam and I are really close since our parents have been the best of friends even before I was born, which made me become really close to Liam since I was really young.
He was there with me when I first auditioned for JYP Enterainment and even helped calm me down, before and after the auditions. What's really funny is that, although he didn't audition, the judges immediately noticed him walking me in and wanted him to become an idol, saying he has the perfect visuals to become one. Even with all the compliments, Liam still wouldn't join, and his excuses was he wanted a career that involves basketball.
My members decided to stay in their own apartment that was gifted to us by JYP himself as a reward, and explore Taiwan on their own while I was busy catching up with my family and friends here. However, I still visit them a lot whenever I'm doing nothing since their apartment isn't far from where I stay.
"You sure you will be alright being home alone while I go pickup my cousin from the airport?" Liam my childhood friend asked.
"Yeah, I'm basically an adult now and living with Nayeon and Chaeyoung only matures you since they act like babies." I reply.
"True hahaha, I still can't believe your a Kpop idol and how successful TWICE is. Looks like all your hard work and training back when you were a kid payed off." Chuckled Liam as he stood up. "Well I'm gonna get going, I'll be back in like half an hour and I hope you don't mind my cousin staying with us in this apartment since his parents are staying in YiLan, and they don't have enough room for him over there."
"It will be fine, I still can't believe you haven't told him that your friends with TWICE even though you've both known each other for what, 18 years?" I laughed at him.
"I doubt he even knows who you guys are to be honest, he's from Australia and I doubt Asian music makes it over there haha, so I never bothered to tell him about you guys."
"So mean! Not even helping us make more ONCES..." I pout.
"Alright whatever and don't give me that face ever again....it's gross, I'll introduce him to you guys. Don't do anything stupid to my apartment while I'm gone." He replied while shaking his head, before closing the door.
I laughed to myself and thought about his words as he left. "How do I make TWICE'S music more appealing internationally so it even makes it to Australia? I might ask Liam's cousin for some advice and his opinion, I know our concept is more on the cute side of things so I hope he doesn't find it cringey since Liam doubts he knows about TWICE."
I FaceTimed my members since I was bored and I wanted to let them know what's happening as well as ask them what they have been doing. After two rings, Jihyo picks up.
"YA CHEWY WHATS UP?" Jihyo screams at her phone, immediately I could hear the other members yelling in the background telling her to quiet down. I mentally giggle at how cute our leader was.
"I'm just bored, Liam's gone to pick up his cousin that's from Australia from the airport and he's going to stay with us apparently." I reply.
"Jinjja? Is he a boy? He must be good looking as well since Liam is basically K-idol material!" Nayeon yells from across the room.
"Ya Nayeon, when did you care about boys so much? I never hear you talking about male idols when we are in Korea!" I say back.
I see Nayeon blushing a bit while thinking, making me giggle quietly.
"Ahh, it's just I think Taiwanese guys are really cute and I really want to learn Chinese, but YOU never teach me!" She says back as she pouts.
All the other members "awwed" at their eldest members quick confession making Nayeon slap the back of their heads in embarrassment, making it a war zone in TWICE'S apartment as members are all slapping each other back.
"Well I should get going and stop this war before something bad happens, but bring Liam's cousin over if you guys are free. I want to see if he is also K-Idol material and I want to see his reaction to seeing us!" Jihyo laughs.
"Well I doubt he will have much of a reaction since Liam said he most likely wouldn't know who TWICE is since Kpop isn't that big of a thing over there apparently, we gotta try and introduce him to it and make him a ONCE." I say back before I hang up.
