Meadow Henderson is a Shelby family friend and has been since she was little when her family and the Shelbys made truce after years of fighting and arguing over nonsense. She's been close with all the family but mostly Thomas and Arthur. Polly was her second mother and when meadows real mother passed away she took role as her mother. After her mother's death her fathers life spiralled out of control, he started drinking and using drugs every day.

Thomas Shelby is a man broken by war. He hasn't been the same since he came back from France and doesn't look like he's toning to change any time soon. Thomas is the leader of the peaky blinders and basically owns Birmingham. Thomas and his siblings are gypsies from his mother and fathers side. After his mother died and his dad left, his aunt polly has taken care of all of them and has raised them since they were little.
During the war While the war was going on meadows father was getting incredibly ill and there was no medicines or cures for his illness. In 1916 her father had passed out in the garrison and not woken up, Polly was the one to tell her. As soon as she learned about her fathers passing she wanted to get as far away from him as possible, so she ran and didn't stop. She now stays in a flat in London and still talks to Ada and Polly as frequently as possible as Polly was almost like her mother. ——— An~ Only short cause it the introduction, will get longer when you get to the episodes B x
