He picks up my phone before I do, "It's one of your little friends." He flashes the phone my way to show me Jason's contact name. We're just going to ignore how he grabbed my phone like it's his.

I tap the answer button and put the phone on speaker, "Hey Jase." He place my phone down on the armrest.

"All I have to say is expect an ass whooping once you get back in town. Mugs straight left me down here for the holidays!" Now that I think about it we did just leave him.

I should've brung him with us so I had somebody I could talk to. Nessan is my brother so me discussing anything with him have some caution signs.

I try my best to compress a laugh," That's not true, you have Kendall."

"Fuck Kendall! He too busy sticking his dick dow-"

"Wooahh calm down!!" Zo immediately takes my phone off speaker before handing it to me as I laugh. He acts as if his wasn't down- welp.

"My bad... Have you heard from Davis lately?" This question had my laughter back under control.

I shook my head as if he could see me, "I don't know what's going on with him. I called and texted him plenties of times and nothing. My messages don't even get opened." From the corner of my eye, I could see Zo perk up.

"He's been avoiding you then," he said more as if he was just talking out loud, "I know he still post on snapchat so..."

"Damn, I don't even have his Snapchat." I mumble.

" Imma send it to you and call you back later. I have to finish something." He tells me. We say our goodbyes before he hangs up. Soon after the message comes through with Davis's username.

"Not your hoes ignoring you."

I look over at Zo who had an unreadable look on his face. Something tells me he knows more than he lets on. I don't think I told him that I talk, well talked since I think I was cut off, to Blue.

"Let me see your phone."

"Hell nawl. You gone disrespect me by talking to one of your hoes in my shit?!" Not this bullshit.

"First off, I don't have no hoes unless you want me to call you one. Secondly stop raising your voice at me like I'm your child. I already think you Lowkey got anger issues so chill that shit out, the hell! Third,..." once he did that side eye I knew to shut the hell up. Light skins will try you so let me just quit.

" What you call the nigga then?"

" A childhood best friend. Nothing more or less."

He let his eyes stay on the road this time before fishing out his phone. "That's all he better be." Dude act like we're official but I'm not gone question his gangster, lol.

What the fuck been happening to me. Ever since I laid eyes on Alex my world been flipped like a pancake. I'm a bold ass nigga so once even had the slightest hint of liking him I acted on it.
