Once I get my satchel I wave to my mum, only to be engulfed In a hug. She wraps her arms around me, holding me tight. "Be careful darling" she whispers kissing my cheek.

I smile and hug her back, holding her happily. "Of course I will mum" I say. Noticing the strong smells of lemon poppyseed bread and honey, her warmth taking over me and making me just want to go to sleep.

But the hug ends quickly and before I know it I'm out the door, skipping down the familiar roads of my village. Searching for the bookstore that's practically my second home.

Looking through the streets I still get looks for my cloak, for there's hardly any color in my home, mostly just bronze, brown, and grey. Seeing a bright red is rare.

But I don't mind, I'm proud of my friendship with the bookkeeper I call mmy best friend. Suddenly the bookstore comes into sight and I instantly start sprinting towards it, a smile on my face as I burst through the doors.
The oh so familiar smell of old and new books filling my nose. Paper goes flying and a crash can be heard as I see the mass in the back room. He gets up and looks at me chuckling a little.

"Morning little red, I forgot you where coming" he laughed as he brushed himself off.

"Eji! How dare you forget!" I whin as he cross my arms and puff out a cheek.

He shakes his hands infront of his face. "No no! Don't be mad! I didn't mean it! Father just asked me to reorganize the back room and so I got carried away doing that! I'm sorry!!" He said, extremely quickly.

I smirk a little and surprise hug him. "It fine!" I said happily and held him happily.

He relaxed a little and wrapped his arms around me tightly before pulling away and raising a brow slightly. "Wait a minute... why are you here?" He asked "other than to hang out with me I mean, you have that look in your eye" he said booping my nose.

"I came to ask about the quickest route to the village across the woods..." I say slowly, looking away.

He chuckles a little. "Yeah, I think I've got a map, come on" he said and grabbed my hand, taking me towards the back room.

After getting the map, I started slipping towards the forest, it was really bright out and I was glad to be in the shade as I started walking down the path on the map.

I smiled happily hearing the birds chirping and the sun streaming through the branches, it was beautiful.

As I skipped along, my cloak flowing behind me. Suddenly I hear something.
