They'd rather cancel the performances but they had an obligation to their fans as well. They'd bought tickets to come and see them. Glen wouldn't join them, that had never even crossed their mind to force him or even ask him. He was at the place that he needed to be. They'd been trying to wake Kate up again since that morning and when they'd stopped the ventilator for a moment she'd gone straight back into alarms. They'd put her right back under when she couldn't breathe on her own yet. They had no idea how much longer she would be in this state. It could be a day, it could be a week or even years. It was all up to her right now. All they could do was be patient and wait. Even if she woke up tomorrow, the recovery would be long and hard.

"We'll put out an official statement declaring that you will remain at Kate's side. And that we'll continue the last of this tour without you for the time being." Danny told him. Clarence House had been making the statements in Kate's case since the breach. Charles had wanted to be the one to deliver information if they were so hungry for it. At least it would be controlled and right then. It had made an announcement only that afternoon asking for privacy and respect since the breach of the photographer.

That Kate was gravely wounded and needed to have the time and space to get through the ordeal she'd been through. That a team of doctors were dedicated and working around the clock to get her through the most critical moment of recovery. And that for the time being Kate was being kept in a coma. They'd been as honest as they could have been whilst making sure that Kate would still have been okay with it.

"Thanks, guys, I just can't leave her or Arthur right now. it's hard enough being here in the hallway." Glen admitted, looking back through the gap of the door where he could see her laying in the bed. After the transfer, she'd lost two of the still many machines around her. But still, it was a horrible sight to see someone as alive and bright as her in such a state.

"We know Glen. That being said, shouldn't you at least go home, to get a shower and get a pair of fresh clothing. Kate wouldn't like for you to just be sat here. Go and be with Arthur for a little while, you can't leave the little lad to its own devices." Mark suggested, he too was a father and he couldn't imagine or even dream being in Glen's position. If he were in Glen's shoes, he wasn't sure what he would do. But they'd all been trying to get him to take care of himself as well. They'd been drawing sticks to see who would approach Glen next about it all.

"Arthur is being looked after by Maria and Catherine." Glen started to say, knowing it was wrong to put his son in their care only. But he didn't want to leave Kate. What if she slipped again and he wasn't there? What if she woke and he wasn't there? No, he couldn't leave her and take that chance.

"That's not the same Glen, he needs his mum and dad. And Kate can't be there for him right now. Spend some time with him. I'm sure you could take a shower at KP if you asked William or Catherine." Danny added, knowing that it wouldn't be a problem for them. They'd been with Kate every day as well, they were her family. And he wanted to make sure that Glen was still okay as well. "I can't leave her." Glen objected with a shake of his head, before turning around and heading back into Kate's room and taking his familiar seat.

Five days later things were still the same. Kate wasn't giving any indication that she was waking up at all. Glen kept up his vigil by her side. He hadn't left once. He'd taken a quick shower at the hospital and put on the clothes his mum had brought him. And that had been because his dad had threatened to drag him home if he hadn't. Arthur came by every evening to spend an hour with his mum and dad. School had now officially ended as well and he was staying at Catherine and Will's.

Then there was William and Harry, besides Glen, they had to be the ones who could be found there most often. They'd go home in the evening and return in the mornings with breakfast that either Catherine or Meghan had prepared to send along. Which he'd then wolf down at Kate's bedside
