"It was a rough night for him, but Catherine managed to calm him down," William reassured him from a father's point of view. He couldn't even begin to imagine what Glen was going through right now. He was already a mess, his sister being in this state she was in. But for Glen, it must be so much worse.
Kate was the woman he loved and was supposed to marry next April. they were going to have another baby, but right now none of this would happen and the wedding, well it was uncertainty if there would even be one.
They had no idea if she woke up in what state that would be. And she'd lost the baby they'd all been so excited about.
That's when the doctor walked in, Glen and William were nudged to the side as he and the nurses made a complete checkup. She was still getting blood, endless bags hung around her with machines attached to machines and her. "We're going to start reducing the anaesthetic, let her wake up slowly. We might have to put her under again, but it's a way for us to see if she'd be able to breathe on her own and such." The doctor explained to them as Glen let out a huge breath of relief. If they started doing these tests, it had to mean something, right, that's what he hoped at least. They wouldn't wake her up if they didn't think she'd make it right?
By lunchtime, the room was filled once more with family and friends who cared about Kate. More so than the day before even, it had been agreed that she was going to get transferred to a private hospital that evening as well. She wasn't waking up yet or even breathing on her own. But she'd been stable enough till that point already. And the King Edward's VII hospital was the hospital of the Royals.
Glen decided that they would be able to care the best and most for his future wife. He agreed with Charles to do the move. two doctors were being flown over, one from Chicago, one from Switzerland. Charles was going to cover any cost like he would have if this had been Harry or William.
By the time evening came around it was such a huge ordeal to get her to the other hospital. She'd been transferred with an escort. She was literally treated as one of them and Glen was incredibly happy for it. It meant that she was getting the best treatment possible.
She had a huge room on the top floor of the hospital, enough place for family and friends to be near Kate. The doctor from Chicago had arrived along with the one from Switzerland. And after introducing themselves they'd gone to start a plan of treatment and care for Kate. Cops were downstairs at the entrance for an added security. London was basically one big security lockdown still. An even a photographer had been able to slip through dressed as a nurse. The PO's had been stationed outside of the wing and another one to the entrance to her room.
It certainly didn't help that she was such a huge profile at all either. And the story of what she'd done inside the museum had gotten out from the ones she'd been shot to protect. With that, the fact that she'd been pregnant had gotten out as well. It had been announced rather loudly in that hallway after all so it would be even harder to recover from that as well.
"Glen, we're going to have to make a statement. We're supposed to leave the day after tomorrow." Mark told his friend, he knew it would be the very last thing on his mind right now. It wasn't the first thing on their mind either. But they still had to discuss it all. Their fans were going crazy on social media. They all wanted a response from all of them. they'd already put a statement out that Glen wanted to have privacy in this hard time to get through this with his family.
"Guys, you can't expect me to go with you right now to finish this tour," Glen told them as they stood in the hallway. He was only a few feet removed from her and he wanted to return to her beside already again. "We know Glen, and we respect and understand that. We could have you replaced by the one that replaced you a few years ago. It's only a few more festivals, it won't kill us for you to stay here for those eight concerts." Mark explained in understanding, he wanted Kate to wake up as well. they were all so worried about her, about the thing that had happened. It had hit so close to home this time, it was such a hard thing for all of them to wrap their minds around.
