The Shade of Curiosity

Sometimes silence takes over me
Cloaking me in its vibrant capes
With elegant drapes.
The colours are associated
With the emotion that silences me.

Grey for melancholy,
Yellow love,
Red for fear,
Solemn white for anxiety.
And whatnot.

And recently did I discover,
Another shade I couldn't name.
A colour for curiosity.

I searched for days
In all possible ways.
How can a colour
Be such a big mystery
To a self proclaimed artist
Like me?

Days passed,
The cloak of curiosity
Slowly fading to transparency.
I lay on the beach,
The transient waves brushing my feet.
Looking deep into the sky,
Curiosity spoke one last time ,
Before it died...

"Funny isn't it, the two things
You love, sky and the ocean,
They are shades of blue.
Both an endless expanse
Of mystery and wonder"

That's when I did realise,
That the cloak is blue,
Like the ocean and and the sky.
And it wasn't fading from me,
But simply being camouflaged.
By the two things that made me curious.
