Karly grew up in a village a few miles away from the Last City. Her parents were very strict, making her focus all her time on studying instead of enjoying her childhood like the other kids in the village. That was until an Exo fell out of a tree while attempting to hang upside down. That Exo was Lucas-2. A playful, carefree android that lived his life without being weighed down by responsibilities. At first, Karly saw him as an immature brat. But after a while, she began to see him in a new light. She found his clumsiness adorable and found him charming when he would have moments of maturity that could only be seen in men twice his age. Eventually, she started to fall for the robot, despite her parent's objections. That all changed when the Hive attacked their home. Along with Lucas, she tried to fight off the invaders long enough for the villagers to get to safety. This act of bravery was short-lived as the Hive quickly overwhelmed them and slaughtered everyone. She was revived shortly before Lucas and the two made their way to the Last City.
