Honorable Mention of the Winter
Nanofiction Contest, written by
KB_ChampionNew Mittens
Dear Santa,
Sorry to bother you, I know tonight's Christmas Eve and you and the elves must be working extra hard at the North Pole to get everything ready.
But if it's not too late, I'd like to ask you for a special gift. I need a new pair of mittens - mine have a hole in them and my family can't afford to buy new ones.
I don't think I'll make it through this winter without them, so I'll be hanging my left stocking by the chimney tonight in hopes that you'll have just what I need.
Sincerely,
Carol
