Hi guys! Even though I don't have any votes for anything, I will still continue to write! Enjoy the chapter!

I woke up with Ashton smashing a pillow on my head.

"Wake up! It's your birthday!" Ash yelled, and with my enhanced hearing, everyone in the house stirred to his noise.

"Let me sleep," I complained, "I still can't believe he's my mate."

Ashton stopped smiling and looked at me, "Do you want him to be?"

"No, he's a jerk and we all know how he treats me" I answered, "But the sparks are there, Ash. I can't ignore it." Ashton rubbed his head, unsure what to say. Instead, he walked into my closet, and came out holding a black crop top, with blue ripped jeans right above the middle of my thighs.

"Honestly Lays, I don't really have an answer," Ashton signed, "if it goes really bad, reject him. You always have me."

Time Skip to School

As we exited our car, Jayden and Alex walked off together completely ignoring Ashton and my presence.

"Do they have to be like this all the time?" I asked.

"Isn't this hottie and freak?" Mia spoke as she strutted towards us. We held our noses. This perfume is making me nauseous.

"Seriously? Your joke is getting old" Ash retorted. "And this freak you are talking about is more like yourself." At this, Mia probably blushed in embarrassment, though it is not visible through layers of makeup.

"Whatever, wanna come to my house at six? My parents are not home till twelve." Mia asked as she attempted to flirt by battling her eye lashes at Ash who looked uninterested.

"C'mon Ash, let's get to class." I said, as we walked into school. Since Ash and I don't have the same classes together, we went down in separate halls, him having Biology and me having English for first period.

As I was about to reach Mr. Collin's classroom, the janitor's closet flipped open, and a strong force pulled me inside the dark, cramped space. My first instinct to scream out all vanished in a poof as a large hand covered my mouth. The intoxicating and luring scent belonged to none other than Jayden.

"Hello mate," Jayden whispered huskily and I whimpered. I was going to be late to class, I silently screamed as my wolf paced restlessly inside me. I was trapped between his massive arms, and there was no way out.

"I don't know what to say, honestly I'm surprised," Jayden began. "I never thought it would be someone like you," he said has his nose crinkled in disgust. I stared at him, mouth agape. Each one of his word sent arrows to my heart, and as much as I tried to dodge them, they always found their mark.

"Someone like me?" I snarled, "Honestly I'm pretty fucked to have a mate like you, so go ahead, reject me and carry on with your pathetic life."

"Gladly," he laughed.

"I, the Future Alpha of Red Moon pack, reject Layla Thompson as my mate and Future Luna," He said nonchalantly, as my heart crashed to the ground right as I sank to the floor. He walked away casually, as my wolf spoke for the first time.

I am sorry, I can't believe he did this to us.

The scent of my tears must have alerted Ash, since he has a better sense than most ordinary werewolves.

"Lays! What's wrong? Why are you crying?" Ash asked worriedly while he hugged me. Ash can sometimes be the best hugger in the world.

"I, uh.... sort of got rejected by Jayden," I tried to say it normally, but it did not fool Ash.

Being the nosy bugger he was, he mind-linked me:

I'm so gonna kill that bastard! He growled

That bastard is your brother, and you can't kill your brother. Don't tell anyone, I don't want all the gossip and drama. I whispered back to his mind.

"I knew something was wrong with him this week! I just didn't know he was gonna reject you!" Ash exclaimed. "Let's ditch class!"

As we went into the woods, I had an idea.

"Ash?"

"Yeah?"

"I am thinking to leave for a while, just to get over my feelings. You don't know how hard it is to see him with other females." I said, but it will be really hard, to go rogue and be by yourself. But it is better than seeing my mate with other females anyways.

"Actually, that'll be a great idea, but on one condition," Ash started. "That you will let me stick along and go rogue or join another pack with you."

I was shocked.

He would really do this for me.

"Yes!" I squealed, as I ran up to hug him.

For a while, we sat at the edge of the cliff in comfortable silence. With my head on his shoulders and his arm around my waist.

That was until we heard a growl behind us. I whipped by head around, shaking off Ashton's arm, as I saw Jayden there staring at me with his body, again, angled and taunt, ready to attack.

"Leave her alone." Jayden growled.

"Seriously? This is all you got? After you rejected her? Why don't you go back and suck that slut's face instead of pretending to care for her?" Ash retorted.

All Jayden did was to growl and glare at me. Like it was my fault that he rejected and I the fact that I shouldn't have told Ash.

"Leave me alone, go find your prostitute, toy, girlfriend, or whatever you call it. Don't bother me again." I said, in a bored monotone. For a second, I could have sworn I saw regret flash in his eyes.

"Remember who rejected you in the first place." Jayden muttered as he shifted into is sandy colored wolf has he ran off into the woods. That really did hurt me.

As soon as he was gone, unwanted tears started to leak out.

"Aww, don't cry, I will always have your back no matter what." That warmed my miserable cold heart.

"Hey, I need to go back and write them a letter, to my ex-mate, parents and worse brother in the world." I said.

Please give me some votes so that I have encouragement to keep writing the story! Thank you!
