the pacifier

Ted couldn't believe it he was going on a road trip with his two best friends to celebrate his 25th birthday, and out of no where, for no reason their car brakes down.
"everything looks fine" Mark yells out after looking under the hood of the car
"then why did the engine fail" Ted asks. Ted was standing next to Ryan on the side of the car, they were both leaning against it. their shirts showed signs of heavy sweeting from the heat "it can't be out of gas we just filled it up"
ryan takes out his phone and waves it around looking for a signal. Mark walks up and stands in front of them
"no signal" Ryan informs them
"you know we passed a house less then a mile back" Ted reminds them "maybe there is a phone that we can use"

the three of them walk to the house. when they get to the house they knock on the door and it creaks open
"hello" Ryan calls out
"i wouldn't be surprised if no one lives here" Mark says as he opens the door further and walks in, followed by Ted and Ryan.

the three split up and look for a phone. Ted Walks past a room with the door opened enough to see just a sliver. threw the small opening he sees a brightly colored nursery. unlike the rest of the house the nursery looks like it was brand new. Ted opens the door all the way but when he does there is no nursery just a bed room. in the center of the room Ted Sees a Blue pacifire just siting there. Ted stairs at it, unable to look at anything else. he walks up to it, squats down, and picks it up. Ted holds it in front of his face, he examines it. it is just a pacifire but Ted can't stop looking at it. he then, almost like some one else is in control, puts it in his mouth. as he sucks on it a strange feeling washes over his body. he nearly goes into a trance when he hears Mark call him. Ted takes the pacifire out of his mouth, and stands up. he then puts the pacifire in his pocket and walks down stairs.
