Blizzardpaw Pov
I groaned. My nest was right next to lightpaaw's nest. I wouldn't have that extra space to my self. I crawled under my nest and yawned. A thought came to my head.
" lightpaw?" Oh. She was asleep. I prodded her in the ribs.
" light paw! Wake up"I grumbled.
"What? " She twitched her ears, yawning.
" what's a mom like?" I asked. Concerned, She looked around.
"Well, they are nice and protect you with their life. " Lightpaw explained.
" Oh, ok..." I mewed with a sigh
"Why? " She asked me.
I stayed silent and stood up and stalked out of the den. I knew I had to go with someone to leave camp, but I didn't care. I walked out of camp, my tail lashing.
I pricked my ears, listening for prey, and my mouth slightly open, trying to smell for some. I head a rustle in the bushes, it was gone a second later. A light scraping sound of leaves rubbing against something replaced it. I jumped at the bush.
Nothing. Loud footsteps. But there was no one. Heavy breathing fading off into the distance. Gone.
I shivered and looked at the bush carefully. There were tufts of fur caught in the thorns. Whatever it was left in a hurry. Every time this happens my sanity slowly starts to fade away. I fear that I will become insane. Or even worse; I already am.
I brushed the thought away and walked along the forest. Soon enough, I had caught a mouse and a squirrel. It wasn't my best catch, but what can I say? I'm just that apprentice. I walked back to camp and threw the prey on the pile, picking out a mouse for me to eat. I nibbled on it as i curled up in the middle of camp with a yawn.
