Sally's Pov:

"And that's how I landed the role of Caleb!" Ansel finishes.

We are curled up on his Aunties living room sofa half watching 'The lion king'

"Aw that's a cute story." I smile up at him.

He pecks me on the head.

I need to break it off. I need to do it today. I need to do it now.

"Ansel we need to talk." I say squirming out of his embrace.

He shoots me a confused look.

"I...I..." I start but I can't bring myself to say it.

"You what, Sally?" He asks, worry in his voice.

I sigh, "I...I..I'm really gonna miss you when you go back to New York in two weeks." I finish.

That's not what I meant to say but It'll do for now.

"I'll miss you too but I should be back in London in a month or so after." He says.

I smile weakly.

~2 weeks later~

Ansel Pov:

"Ansel, your Auntie said she's barely seen you over the 3 weeks you've been there." My mum says sternly.

"What? I did see her. I'm looking at her right now!" I say.

We were on the phone.

"She said you've been off with that girl most of the time!"

"Well she's kinda my girlfriend, mom!" I say.

"I don't care! You went over there to spend time with your Auntie."

"Well, too late." I sigh.

I hang up.

My auntie smiles at me.

"You didn't think I was being rude did you, Auntie?" I ask.

"No Ansel! I was purely telling your mother what you had been getting up to! It was lovely to see you at all." She says.

I grin and pick up my suitcase.

"Shall we?" I say, gesturing to the door.

"We shall." She replies.

I had said goodbye to Sally yesterday over dinner. It will be horrible not seeing her for so long. She was acting strange though, she kept stuttering as if she was going to say something then dismissing it.

I will see her in a month or so anyway. She said she will come visit me in London if I meet her at the train station.

-

"Goodbye Ansel." My auntie says hugging me.

"Bye Auntie Ruth."

I drag my suitcase through the barriers and get onto my plane.

I land in Heathrow airport 2 hours later.

I text Sally.

Hey Sal,

Just landed in Heathrow. :) How's your day going so far, babe? x

She replies

Hi Ansel!

Aw good, only 10 hours away from NYC them? Hehe. My days been good thanks. :) xx

'Plane to New York airport is boarding now.' Says a voice over the speakers.

I hear a few yes's and Woops. I stand up and walk to the gate.

I hand the woman my boarding pass and she smiles at me and looks at my ticket.

"You're riding economy?" She asks.

"Yeah!" I reply simply.

"Have a nice flight Mr Elgort." She says.

I smile and she gives me back my ticket.

At least she knew who I was. No one has come up to me in the airport. Though, for all I know people may have been taking secret selfies with me all day!

-

"Please return to your seats and put your seatbelt on, Sir." The air hostess says as I walk out the bathroom.

"Why?" I ask.

"We are about to land." She explains.

I nod and return to my seat.

After 20 minutes we land in NYC!

I try and get out the airport as quickly as possible.

I get in a taxi and tell the man my address.

I ring pierce.

"PIERCE!" I shout into my phone.

"Ansel?! Man, why haven't you been texting me back?!" He asks.

"That's not important. GUESS WHERE I AM!" I say.

"WHERE?!" Pierce shouts back.

"GUESS!"

"In a Beano's?"

Beano's is my favourite coffee shop.

"Nope, I'm in a Taxi." I say.

"Oh yeah? Where you going?" He asks.

"GUESS!"

"I don't know!" He laughs.

"Bro," I say.

"Yes?"

"I'm on my way home!" I finish.

"YES, YES, YES!" Pierce yells.

"Yes!" I laugh, "See you in a second, mate."

I hang up.

I pay the cab driver and sprint up the stairs with my suitcase dragging behind.

Pierce opens the door before I even reach for the handle.

"ANSEL!" He yells and pulls me into a hug.

We sit on the sofa and he hands me a beer.

"I got it out the fridge when you hung up." He says nodding to my beer.

"Thanks." I smile.

"So," Pierce smiles, "How's your girl?"

I shake my head and laugh, "My girl? Yeah, she's good."

"How old is she again?" Pierce asks.

"Um..I..uh." I stutter.

"Oh god she's not like 15 is she?" He frowns.

I wince.

"No...shes 13..."

Pierces mouth drops open.

"Ansel, you could get arrested!" He says.

"I know...but," I look at my lock screen, a picture of Sally and I, "I love her."

Pierce claps me on the back.

"What you gonna do, mate?" He asks.

"I really don't know." I shrug.
