A/N: The title is still a work in progress, after writing this piece I was happy with the poem itself but couldn't find a particular point that shone enough to generate a title. If you have any suggestions please comment below. Any feedback is welcome! :)

Burning in your veins,

Whirling winds in your head.

Shaky ground beneath your feet,

Rocks to catch your fall.

A blistering heat, a parching heat,

Nibbles at your brain.

Panic rings, alarm bells ring

A screaming in your head.

A brick strapped to every limb,

A weight around your neck.

Looming ever closer

A deadline to be met.

Scurry now, hurry now.

So little time to spare.

Must finish now, don't matter how,

By any means you can.

A cycle of haste,

Wearing on your soul.

Lost sleep, missed meals,

A weary, vacated body.

Walk slowly, breathe slowly.

Take some time to feel it all.

The little things, the joyful things,

They're the pearls of the world.

You need only let it go,

Heal yourself, mend your tired soul.

Build your tower once again,

See clear skies once again.
