"She's becoming too powerful." A commanding feminine voice commented, her voice heavy with annoyance.
"Indeed I dare say we may have to do something about it." An accented voice chimed in reply.
"I'm disgusted that your even suggesting that we have anything to do with that filthy Half Breed Rickkon." A third high pitched voice shrieked in outraged.
"Frankly Liza now is not the time for your racist nonsense, the girls power increases by the day it's only a matter of time before it rivals our own." The emotionless voice of a man grunted cool indifference with a note of admiration coloring his words.
"That's quite enough." Boomed a deep gravelly voice, utterly calm, but still seeming to carry loudly amongst the group.
"An opportunity has been presented before us." The same voice continued, but at a considerably lower volume.
"The girls chosen dragon has arrived, and the sheer size of the creatures egg is astonishing, it will be quite the beast, with such a creature she will undoubtedly grow even more powerful." He carried on tone filled with equal parts fear as well as awe.
"However the princes dragon has also arrived, but it is an unhealthy size so small I fear it may not survive, it has also been damaged there is a crack running up its left side. If we say switch the two the girls power will be stunted by suck a weak partner, and the prince will be able to make up for his almost complete lack of power with such a powerful companion." Utter silence followed never has anyone ever suggested separating an individual from there dragon that bond is sacred. Bonding with another is possible but is only done if a rider dies, and there dragon somehow manages to survive the ordeal.
The first to respond was, surprisingly, the seemingly emotionless man this time his tone was full of anger."How could you even suggest such a thing Will, not only is it illegal it is also incredibly dangerous to all those involved. You and I both know the dragons will almost certainly reject anyone that is not the one chosen for them." Will flinched at the usually calm mans sudden rage. Before he could form a reply Liza felt the need to open her mouth letting out another shrill sounding shriek."I don't see what your problem is Emeric, that abomination is unworthy of such a magnificent creature. Our prince is certainly deserving, and could benefit greatly from such an exchange."
"For once I agree with the banshi, our prince's chosen is hardly worthy of him let the girl have the little worm, she is no one after all she doesn't even have a last name, it will likely die soon enough." Rickkon butted in voicing his satisfaction with the idea.
Emeric snapped his attention to the others for a split second before zeroing in on will again. Releasing a growl he opened his mouth to argue again when Will's gravelly voice interrupted him."How about a vote all those in favor of switching the dragons raise your hand." Liza, Will, and Rickkon all raised their hands leaving Emeric to growl in frustration and storm out the room slamming the door behind him with a thunderous thud. The woman who had spoken first finally rejoined the conversation."Something needed to be done but not this, it is going to come back to bite you, and when it does you three are on your own." She declared her tone promoting no argument.
