Her rules were simple, sweep until the floor is clean, deliver food to the members present, dust, and then if she had extra time, she was to stay in the library until either needed, or her shift was over. Sometimes she, and a few others, would have to clean the blood out of the basement, but she was used to that by now. Her job was difficult mentally, but being a maid for four years for the Demon Mafia taught her how to hide her feeling, and she did it well. Crowley, her boss, believed her to be the most soulless of them all, but he was wrong.

The pain she'd been through thanks to his men, or her family, made her afraid to reveal anything to them. Which, she supposed, gave them the perfect opportunity to complete the alliance with the Winchesters. All they had to do was give their best maid to them, but nobody was happy about it. You could see it in everyone's eyes that they were reluctant to give, and to receive. In fact, once John had arrived, he asked for a special presence alone with her. He did nothing but ask if she was being traded willingly, and that if she wasn't, she was free to leave once they got to the mansion.

It was hard to hide the confusion, and especially the fear, that he would just let her go. She'd never been given the opportunity to leave, and couldn't help but wonder if this was a trap. So she bit her tongue, and shook her head, giving him a somewhat reassuring smile that he saw right through. He sighed, and told her that they would leave in an hour, so she should begin packing. The option he gave her, he spoke before walking out of the room, would be open for as long as she stayed with them.

She didn't have much to take with her, as everything had been burned or destroyed once the Demons raided her home. Nothing except a picture frame and her own life had been spared by their wrath, keeping her as a memory of the power they had. The Winchesters fought against them for years, simply because they didn't agree with how they ran their business. Only those who had done them wrong deserved pain, they once said, not the innocents around them. Even now, the only reason they had a truce was because too many were being caught in the crossfire of their mini-war.

She was accustomed to threats by the men surrounding her, but Crowleys threats always shook her to the core. His always had venom, a truth behind the threat as he spoke it. Once she passed him at the door, he grabbed her wrist, growling the words "don't let this alliance fall, or I will destroy you personally." She only nodded, unable to stop her legs from wobbling as she walked to the car. John, being the man he was, picked up on the change in her movements nearly immediately, and sent a warning glare towards the man on the steps. With a grunt, he got into the drivers side of the car, giving her a questioning look as she sat in the back seat.

"Not gonna sit in the front, kid?" He asked, a frown on his face.

"Would you like me to, Mr. Winchester?" She questioned, about to unbuckle her seatbelt. "I understand that this vehicle is very dear to you, I would never wish to ruin it..."

He chuckled. "My boy, Dean, has rebuilt this thing from the ground up over and over again. No need to be afraid of damaging Baby, as he calls 'er. So, you sittin' in the front?"

"If you wouldn't mind, sir, I would rather stay here..." She replied, assessing the look in his eyes.

"Doesn't bother me none." He shrugged.

"Thank you-"

"John. Just John, kiddo."

"Thank you, John." She smiled.

How was anyone afraid of him, she asked herself. He's so kind, it was almost a mystery as to how he gained such a horrid reputation. Some believed he'd done terrible things to women, and ruthlessly slaughtered children. But the man she was being driven by, met none of these expectations. Heck, she was already on a first name basis. A part of her still was cautious of him, but the rest of her wondered why she hadn't been a gift to the rival mob earlier. It sure would have made her life a lot easier.
