Après un mois d'absence (je vais même plus m'excuser x) je prends du temps pour écrire, et j'ai moins envie de faire du montage qu'avant), voici le premier cadeau pour ma raffle, côté montage ! Si vous ne l'avez pas vu, le premier cadeau côté dessin est posté sur mon rantbook, Majesty.
After one whole month without any updates (I won't even apologize anymore x) I spend my time writing, and I'm less motivated by graphic design than I used to), here is the first gift from the raffle I hosted, regarding graphics! If you haven't seen it yet, the first drawing is up on my rantbook, Majesty, though it's only written in French.

La gagnante m'avait envoyé un schéma de logo (avec l'épée, la lance et le demi-soleil), et m'avait demandé de faire un blason complet avec. J'avais une base mais j'ai quand même pu broder autour, j'ai trouvé ça très bien ^^ J'ai ajouté le sol fissuré, la forme de bouclier, les flammes/volutes de fumées/queues/ce que vous voulez et la légende pour que ce ne soit pas trop simple. Je me suis appuyée sur un autre blason que j'avais fait, et que vous pouvez retrouver au post "Semper somnere". Mais j'ai effectué des améliorations, par rapport à la fois précédente, comme le placement de la légende ou la couleur des contours (avant, doré ça passait. Ici, clairement pas x)). Et pour une fois, mon organisation était... remarquable.
The winner had sent me a rough drawing of a logo (with the sword, the spear and the half-sun), and asked me to make a coat of arms using it. I had the base but I still could create things around it, I found that really nice ^^ I added the cracked ground, the shield shape, the flames/smoke/tails/whatever you want those to be and the caption, so it doesn't seem too empty. I based my work on another coat of arms I've made before, you can find it at the "Semper somnere" part of this book. But I made some things better, for example the caption and the outlines's colors (gold was okay with the previous coat of arms... definitely not with this one x)). And for once, my organization was... on point.

Bref. Au final je suis assez contente, surtout des couleurs (sauf qu'à la base la gagnante voulait du bleu mdr je suis incapable de faire un montage bleu c'est impressionnant). Je sais que ça fait pas trop "guerre" par rapport aux armes dessus, mais justement, je trouve que ça donne une autre dimension. Et puis merde, j'ai essayé sur les flammes, ça rendait super bien, j'ai continué x) en fait, ce que j'aime, c'est que j'ai fait des dégradés de tons orangés vers des tons roses, et je trouve que ça donne de la profondeur aux ombres. Et puis, je trouve que les contours blancs ça rend super bien aussi.
Anyway. At the end, I'm quite happy with this one, especially thanks to the colors (except from the fact that at the beginning, the winner wanted it to be blue lol I can't make a blue graphic for shit that's incredible). I know they're not really as war-related as the weapons, but I think it's a good thing, because it gives the illustration another atmosphere. Well actually, I tried it on the flames, it looked super good, so I kept using these colors x) I think the thing I like in this graphic are my orange tones - pink tones gradients, I think they give the shadows some dept. And I think the white outlines look really nice too.

Voilà ! Je viens de réaliser que j'aimais beaucoup les blasons, du coup si jamais un jour je me remets au graphisme (genre, quand Artistes sera fini... non, je peux pas faire de post sans en parler x)), j'en ferai peut-être d'autres.
Voila! I just realized that I really liked making coats of arms, so if I ever get back at graphic design (like, when Artistes is done... no, I really can't write a post without talking about my book x)), I may do other ones.
