I'm not important; you've probably never heard of me. That's because I don't belong in this story. Honestly that's seriously okay with me. I was never meant to be a Wayne.
If somebody told me a few years ago I would be living in Wayne Manor; I would've thrown them in Arkham Asylum.
My birth name's Sondra Eloise Adler. Before I tell you my story a word of warning. This story is about a little girl in a city full of monsters. Forget everything you thought you knew about Gotham.
For the first time in my life I'm in control. The way this is gonna go is you listen to me. I mean really listen you can't half ass my story. That's all I ask.
Honestly I don't remember a lot of my early childhood. The things I know have been told to me. The facts have been passed on to so many people. So I don't know how accurate they are.
Supposedly my mother was a patient at Arkham Asylum. Thus instead of being born in a regular hospital I was born in a psych ward.
I was doomed from the very beginning. Since my mother refused to name my father on my birth certificate. I became a ward of the state from birth. The only home I had ever known was the Gotham City Orphanage.
From a young age I learned how to the streets Gotham city. That's an accomplishment all on its own.
Nothing I learned on the streets of Gotham could've prepared me for Bruce Wayne.
The media paints him as a rich playboy boy but they don't know the half of it.
My story begins on a warm summer night in July. I was taking a short cut through and alley.
Dumb I know that's how horror movies start and people get murdered. That night was an exception of my 'don't do stupid shit' rule.
In my defense if I didn't make it back to the Gotham City Orphanage before my curfew, Mrs. Casey would lose her shit.
If someone were to kill me tonight at least I would never have to go back to that horrid woman. I never thought that nearly being assaulted would save my life.
I almost made it to the main street when I felt a strong force whip me against a brick wall.
My head was screaming in pain; the air was knocked out of me instantly. I fought back to the best of my ability given the state I was in.
I felt a sharp kick to my ribs as I curled into myself using my arms to shield my head. Several blows later I was nearly unconscious.
Luckily just as I thought he would kill me, a strong force knocked my attacker off his feet.
I heard loud noises behind me. But I was in so much pain I didn't care. Just as I blacked out two guys who could've been models were standing over me masks covering their eyes. That's the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
