"I am not. Not blushing." My wolf told me or I should say defended herself.

"Okay, as you say!" I smirk.

Before we could continue our talk, my mate spoke.

"What?" My mate asks, his tone turning hostile.

Double people.

Quite literally. Though.

"I am here for an interview.. for the job? So my CV is on the table." I smiled as I moved past him taking the file and handing him over.

He looked at me confused.

"You are appointed. I don't need to see the CV." He says as if he just took the most vague decision of his life.

Excuse me.

"Oh no no. You have to first interview me. Check my CV. My education background. Then compare me with the other candidates. And then choose the best." I order

"You are teaching me how to choose an employee?" He smirks as he takes a seat of his chair.

"No. But I am definietly telling you to choose me only after u compare me with others and if you feel I am worth it." I justify.

"And why should I listen to you?" He asks raising his eyebrows.

"I am Ragini. You need to listen to me." I offered.

"Not a good reason." He tsks.

"Uhmm, I am your mate?" I try.

"Try harder." He scoffs.

"I am the Beta of the other pack. Second in the rank. I can order you as well, I also am the substitute Alpha when my Alpha is not presnt. And you cannot disrespect a Beta and a substitute Alpha." I complete, smirking.

Hehe, I got to use my Beta card. But see infront of whom I used it!

I look so feminist, I know he might be a wolf from a lower rank or even just a warrior wolf, and I have no no issues with that. He is mate.

But how can I say this to him? He would feel bad, oh I feel so bad. How bad can I be?

How can I disrespect any wolf, lower to my rank? I am a Beta and I shoud respect everyone.

"So you are using the Beta and Alpha card?" He gives an expression I couldn't comprehend.

Smirk? Taunt? Pride?

"Wait, also one more thing. I wanted to tell you something." I say nervously.

His eyes darken at this, mostly anticipating a bad news.

"I wanted a permission. As said, I am the Beta. And my pack needs me, I cannot just leave the pack."

I pause. Everyone knew if a female wolf meets her mate and her mate is from another pack, we are often bound to change the pack, so that we could stay closer to our mates.

"So if I move to your pack, I would want to still be a part of my pack. Atleast some matters which I cannot leave. And I hope you talk to your Alpha about this. And if he doesnt agree, I can try? Or i can ask Sanskaar to tell him. Sanskaar knows him i guess." I mutter.

"You don't know my pack's Alpha?" He says as he gets up and walks to the place where i stood.

"Na, never met. But I have heard about him." I tell him as if sharing secrets I utter.
