I will never forget the sound of our feet hitting the cold ground, the smell of gun powder and the feeling of butterflies lingering in my stomach. Nor will I ever forget the pain, the heart break, the torture and the loneliness.
TWO YEARS PRIOR:
I open my eyes to a bright light and blurry figures.
"She is waking up. Hurry!" I hear a voice say next to me.
All I can remember was heading out to my new job and then...nothing.
"Billie, do you know where you are?" The voice asks, this time stepping in front of the light, but I am still unable to make out who it is.
I try to speak, but it comes out as a groan. "You are in a hospital, you had a car accident." The voice says.
"We are losing her again." And then it goes black.
The next time I wake up, it takes me a moment to adjust my eyes. I then realise I'm in a different room. Where am I? Where is my mum? Why can't I move? My anxiety starts to kick in as I struggle to get free.
"Do you know where you are, Miss Camry?" A tall, strange man questions as he walks into the room.
"N-no." I stutter. "W-where are m-my parents?"
"I'm sorry Miss, you have been in a terrible accident and we are unable to reach your parents."
There is something I don't trust about this man. He has his arms crossed and a cold, smug look on his face that sends shivers down my spine.
A nurse enters my room just as I'm about to ask another question. I watch her as she walks up to me and injects something into my arm. "W-what is that?" I ask, but don't receive an answer. Once again everything goes dark.
