As Eviana walked into her house she noticed her dad's car parked in the driveway. She let out a loud groan as she threw her head down in distress. She adores her parents but she rarely sees them. She doesn't know what to expect from them. When she walked in she noticed her mother get up immediately from the couch. She stood there staring at her parents blankly hoping that they would hug her or at least say something after not seeing each other for several months.

"¿Qué es esto?" Eviana's mom wept as she lifted the bag of pills and pot.

Eviana's eyes widened as she snatched the bag from her mom, "I-I have no idea. Where did you get that?" Eviana stuttered trying her best to fool her parents.

"Eviana! It was in your fucking room!" Eviana's father barked.

"Why are you guys going through my stuff?"

"Your brother found the bag of pills in your bed, he called us and we found the bag of marijuana." Aaron said. "Oscar found it! Your brother! Do you even care about him? What if he took those pills?" He got up from his seat in frustration.

"Do I care about him? I'm the one who looks out for him every fucking day! I know you guys rarely spend any time with us but he's turning fourteen. He's not a little kid anymore, he knows better than to take some pills that he's never seen before." Eviana sneered through gritted teeth. "Who cooks his meals? Who helps him with his homework? Who goes to all of his soccer games? Who stays up with him when he's sick? Who's there to cheer him up when he cries? Certainly not you. I hope you know that's only half of the things I do." Eviana sobbed as she tried to stop the tears that were forming.

"¿Quién te lo dio?" Sofia asked with a slight tremble in her voice as she closed her eyes to soothe herself.

"It doesn't matter. I'll never do it again, I promise. Okay?" Eviana threw the bag of pat and ran up the stairs to her room.

Aaron and Sofia chased after her, "We're not done talking!" Aaron yelled as he pounded Eviana's door.

"This all your fault. You said you'd always make sure your children came before work." Aaron turned to his wife.

"We're both to blame. When's the last time we gave her consequences? We always treated her like a fucking princess. We're the reason why she acts like this." Sofia spat, looking him directly in the eye.

Eviana walked towards the doorway hoping that her family wouldn't notice her. She would've stayed to eat breakfast with her brother like she usually would but her parents were sitting with him. They were talking and laughing with Oscar as if it was something they would normally do. What they would normally do was abandon their kids for months and only call once or twice a month. She walked out of her home to see that the car that was usually there to take her and Oscar to school was missing.

Eviana walked back inside to her dining room, "Where's the chauffeur? Oscar and I have to get to school."

Eviana saw her mother whisper something to Oscar that caused him to return a questioning look. She saw her father shoot a warning glare at Oscar. Oscar sighed in exasperation before walking out of the house with his head hanging low. "Sorry." Eviana heard Oscar mutter.

Eviana had a puzzled look, she started to walk over to the door but was stopped by both of her parents standing in front of her. "Your mom is taking your brother to school."

"You're not going to school, we-"

"I have an exam today, I have to go. If I pass it I'm a step closer to the scholarship." Eviana knew she didn't need that scholarship, her parents could afford any school she desired. Maybe bringing up her education would make her parents believe that she's still a redeemable person and they would forget the weed situation.

"Nunca volverás a esa escuela." Eviana gaped at her mother's responce in disbalief.

Aaron noticed the lack of words coming from Eviana, "We decided that you'll be homeschooled from now on."

"Homeschooled? There's no reason for you to do that."

"Our decision is final. If you decide to disobey us, Oscar will travel with me for the filming of all of my future films." Aaron said, pleased with himself for his ultimatum. "You'll only see him on holidays."

"You're not taking Oscar away from me. I'm more of a parent then you two will ever be. You won't be able to raise him."

"You're also getting a bodyguard, we want to make sure you and Oscar are okay. We want what's best for you guys." Aaron gave Eviana a warm smile. Eviana was baffled by her father trying desperately to seem kind seconds after threatening to take her brother away.

She gawked at her father, "Is this about the pills and weed? I'm not an addict, I can control myself."

"Not yet, we can stop this now before you start to depend on it. You stopped drinking and look where it got you."

"Look where it got me? I smoke and take pills now, so much better." Eviana clapped sarcastically. "You're right, I'll be an addict in no time, at this point I should've remained an alcoholic. You want what's best for me? Why don't you guys stay? Take the role of actual parents and take care of your children."

"How many times did you mess up and dealt with no consequences? You decide, if you want to continue putting that mierda into your body, go ahead but I'll take your brother with me. You want to be with him? You'll be homeschooled and you'll have a bodyguard."

Eviana remained quite. She wants to be with her brother, but she doesn't want to give her father the satisfaction of winning. But Oscar is one of the very few people she loves. "Homeschool, and the bodyguard." She sighed in surrender. "Can I at least go to the end of year celebration? I want to say goodbye to my friends."

"You won't be going alone, I'll start looking for a bodyguard."

"Let her go alone, it's a school party. She won't be able to do anything reckless." Sofia softly said trying to convince Aaron. Aaron nodded in agreement, as Eviana gave Sofia a faint smile. Eviana still felt bitter towards her mother but an even greater resentment towards her father.
