"You have eyes for my daughter." Said Mr. Taschereau.
"Sir," Said Tom.
"Not to worry, she seems to enjoy your company." He Said. "It's alarming how charming that girl can be."
"Yes." Said Tom.
"Quotes the snake charmer, is what Abraxas used today." Said Mr Taschereau, "she charmed you, didn't she?"
"True." He Said
"You must understand, that my daughter deserves the best. A large mansion, a fortune, not a care in the world, all the children she wants. And I do not believe you can provide her with that." Said Mr, Taschereau
"What?" Asked Tom.
"I view you as a summer fling. Some teenage rebellion." He said. "I doubt you'll be able to keep her attention much longer, or you'll tire of her."
"I don't think I could ever tire of her, Sir." He Said.
"Maybe not." He Said. "But I get the impression that you're hiding something from her."
"Of course not, sir, I would never dream of it." Said tom.
"Maybe you've fooled her into believing that, but she has no problem lying to herself."
"Is it because of my lineage?"
"No, I know you are a descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself."
"Then why, sir?" He asked.
"Because you can't offer her the life she deserves. And, you lie to her." He Said.
"How So?" Asked Tom.
"I here things in the pirebloods community, things about total world domination, something I know Freya is against." He Said, "She has always gone on political rants about how much she hated sovereignty."
"Sir, I just wish to make her happy." He Said.
"No, you want to whisk her away to a life with you and make sure you're the only person she ever cares for." He Said, "I see how you look at Chelsea, like she's some bug you wish to step on."
"You're wrong, sir." Tom said as he walked away.
He walked to where Freya was standing in her green dress. He smirked.
"Hello, Freya." Said Tom.
"Tom, hi." She Said, giving him a hug.
"Freya, do you want a fortune and a large mansion?" He asked.
"No, I just want to be comfortable." She Said, keeping her arms around Tom.
"And how many children do you want?" He asked.
"I don't know I'm seventeen, probably as many as I produce." She Said, "Tom, what's gotten into you?"
"Your father." He said. "Doesn't think I can give you the life you deserve."
"Well, then he's wrong because not only are you the smartest and most ambitious person I've ever met, I can get the life I deserve myself." She Said.
"You know, you always seem to know the right thing to say."
"It's my super power."
"I never knew you were so against sovereignty."
"I just don't think it's right, people having all that power."
"But what if it's the right person."
"Then, if it's a good person, they will recognize that they need help to govern a country because even they will have faults."
"Sort of like a Cabinet."
"Exactly."
"What else do I not know about you?" He asked
"I don't know, we've only been going out for about three weeks." She Said.
"Three great weeks." He Said, truthfully.
"Well there is so much I don't know about you. I know about your father and mother, and that you live in London and are the most brilliant student at Hogwarts."
"Well I found the chamber of secrets." He Said Boastfully.
"Well what's the secret?" She Asked.
"A basilisk." He said.
"A basilisk? Really?" She Said. "So predictable, and let me guess there's a giant statue of Slytherin s face too."
"Why, Yes." He Said.
"It does sound cool though, somewhere you can call your own." She Said.
"It's amazing, pity you'll never get to see it." He said.
"Is parseltongue How you get in?" She Asked.
"How did you know?" He asked.
"Well, I'm a good detective." She said wiggling her eyebrows. "The only way Slytherin could ensure that his descendants could get in is something passed down through generations. Clearly it cannot be a key that could get lost. So it was either snake talk or blood, and I don't see any cuts on your hands."
"Where have you been all my life." Said Tom.
"Canada." She said smiling at him.

"So you opened the chamber of secrets, what else?" She Asked.
"Well my favourite book is hogwarts a history and as for my favourite colour, Well I know that you know what it is." He said.
She rolled her eyes.
"Well, I don't like to disappoint." She Said.
"So you're a detective." He said, mimicking her voice.
"Why yes, when I was ten Abraxas and I formed the Malfoy mystery solvers." She Said.
"Where's your name?" He asked.
"I know, it's sort of weird but I'm a sucker for Alliteration." She Said.
"I do enjoy alliteration." He Said.
"Yes, it's my favourite literary device." She said.
"Tell me more, what do I not know? Perhaps about your time in Paris?" He asked.
"Well I lived in Paris for a large part of my life, some of it in their awful foster system, others as a roof dweller with my friend James."
"James?" He Said
"Oh, Tom he was just a friend and we were only eight." She Said.
"Of course." He Said.
