You woke up in the hospital, hearing that familiar sound of beeping. You looked down at your body to see what Claire and her rats did to you this time. The silence is broken, along with your thoughts.
"Ugh, I can't keep bailing for you, princess."
You look to your left and see possibly the most punchable face in the entire universe. Chase Cammero. Your only family member left. Uncle Chase. This would be the third time this week that your uncle had come to your rescue after dealing with Claire and her rats.
"Uncle. Please just get out of my life. I don't need you and you and I both know that. Can't you see that I want nothing to do with life anymore?"
"I know, princess, but thing is.. I don't care. I do it for my own entertainment, not yours."
You sunk your head back into your pillow and stared at the ceiling as your uncle laughed.
'So it's funny to see me suffer, huh? I wish you knew how funny it was when you lost everything. It's crazy to know how this one drunk dick of a man could be my only family left. Whatever. Everyone abandoned me for a reason. He'll leave eventually.'
"Ma'am Kiri Perez. You are free to go home whenever you are ready to do so. The injuries were minor, resulting in a long stay being unnecessary."
The nurse entered the room, with her eyes glued to the clipboard. She looked at my uncle, expecting something.
"Yeah, yeah. I'll pay you back later. Maybe."
You were already up and packed fully, ready to leave the hospital while your uncle was creeping on the nurse. 'Gross'. You arrived at school, barely alive. You ignored everyone and put in your earphones. You made your way into history class where you sat in the very back in order to avoid Claire and her gang.
"Hey, bunny. You doin better, princess? Bet your lil uncle wuncle came to your rescue again."
You rolled your eyes and didn't look up at Claire for a single second. Your eyes were glued to your phone. Class finished early and you were dismissed. You walked to your locker and then you saw Claire. She approached you as you attempted to walk away because you weren't in the mood.
"Hey, pussy. You wanna carry on what we were doing last night? I'd beat your face into your skull again gladly. Only if you're not gonna back out this tim-"
You looked straight into her eyes and before she could finish her sentence, you kneed her in the pelvis. She fell back and was shocked completely. The two girls that she so stereotypically hung out with most often, picked her up and threw their fists straight at you after.
You grabbed both of their tiny fists and threw them to the ground without warning. Now it was three against one, and you were still injured. You threw your strength into the fight and it was broken up by Claire's boyfriend, the golden boy of the school.
You were in therapy, again. The stupid school sent you to see a mental health doctor for the fifth time this week. You were sitting in the waiting room and you scanned the room. You saw nothing but the normal. The people that you usually see there.
Old man Kai, Grumpy lady Suzie, and jumpy-jittery Carter. Then, in the corner of your eyes, you see a new person. You look at him directly and realise he's nearly the same age as you and Carter. You see that he is quite attractive and he seems very peaceful.
"Ms. Kiri, doctor John will see you now."
Your thoughts are always being interrupted some way or another. You get up and walk to see your usual psychiatrist. Your session is over and you walk outside to see that the boy wasn't there anymore. You feel lowkey disappointed as you were attracted to him and wanted to admire him from afar. You leave the building and get home by 6:30.
Home isn't much, but it will never be just one place. You have no place to stay, meaning that you have to roam the streets and find a place to sleep. This time, you were living in an abandoned cabin. You thought: 'Abandoned, huh? just like me.'
You came home and collapsed onto the hard, cold floor. You were used to it and didn't mind the insects.
You were at school again, your feet trembling as your shoes had holes in the front of it, causing the cool fall air to breeze through. You couldn't afford anything new. Your uncle paid for your education and phone, but never offered you a place to stay. You used to live with him but got too tired of all the women he'd bring home. Your uncle kicked you out.
You passed by Claire in the hallway and she winked at you. You were thankful that you had no classes with her that day. You made your way to your locker and you saw a note that Claire and her rats left. It read: "Hey, hunny. You wanna actually do this thing? Meet up with me after third period in classroom 25B if you're not scared."
You only crushed the note and threw it to the ground. There was no doubt in your mind that you'd be there. The anger grew in you and you punched your locker. You went to your classes then went to class 25B. There you saw Claire and her two girlfriends.
You went straight ahead to pounce on her and threw fists at her. You and her were doing well until you fell to the ground. She giggled and you saw her pull something out of her pocket. Claire's girlfriends pinned your arms and legs to the floor and stepped on them, making sure you couldn't move. You groaned at the pain. Claire stepped on your throat and chest, lowering a knife at your face, with the tip just inches away from your throat. She giggled one more time and you tried to scream but nothing came out.
Luckily, someone saw her and stopped her moments before she sliced your throat open. They tackled Claire and pushed her girlfriends away from you. The person took the knife from Claire and held it at them.
Everything was too blurry for you to see. Claire had stepped on your throat so hard that you almost fell unconscious. You saw the person approach you while you were lying on the floor. The person picked you up and ran out of the school.
