Awakening

“where am I now? “ Vale thought to himself as his eyes opened up again. He tried looking around but noticed the weakness in his movement as he realised he had no control over his body all he saw was a wooden ceiling and felt the softness of what he was laid upon
“He has opened his eyes “ a female looking in her mid 30 said with a smile spread across her face as she approached a cradle with a baby in it
“Please bring my baby to me kly “ another lady said with a weak voice as she was still lying on the bed not too far from the cradle. Kly then picked Vale from the cradle and took him to the lady on the bed

“oi, oi, put me down lady “ vale tried to shout out but all that came out of his mouth was a high pitched sound and a sort of tearing sound of a baby, “wait did that sound just come from me?, the fuck, am I a baby now? So that voice was not kidding around when he stated the reborn shit “

“so theresa what do you plan on naming him? “ kly asked as she handed Vale to the lady on the bed. The lady possessed a crimson red hair which was just a little longer than her shoulder blades and cream like coloured skin with sky blue eyes that made her look like a fire Goddess or something

“I would name him after his father, sadly this little one would not grow up having a father its the least I can do to honor him and he happens to have the exact same pitch black hair colour which his father possessed, so yes I ‘d name him Vale… Vale Rabel “ theresa said with a teary eye as drops began to slide down her cheeks

“would you look at that, I get to keep my name and no father to be nagging on me, hopefully I don’t get any other siblings so I could get spoilt alot……..  hehehehehehe “ Vale said as a smile crept unto his small face
“woah, seems he likes the name, he has a smile… awwwwwn he is sooo cute!!” kly said as she stared happily at theresa and the baby
“well I guess I just have to live a peaceful and fun life in all, lets see how it goes “ vale said so as he began to feel drowsy and he slowly fell to sleep.

“good evening aunt kly “ Vale said as he got closer to the door of his house, it was a small building constructed using wood, it was more like a tavern from the outside. It was a 2 bedroom building with a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The living room had very little furnitures only a wooden table about 1m long and 50cm with a height of about 50cm, surrounding the table were 4 wooden chairs with yellow clothed foam on the seats for a little more comfort. It was somewhat a waste in truth because the only people that lived in the house were Vale and Theresa (his mother) and never had any guest other than his aunt kly (his mother’s elder sister who lived about 5 houses away with her husband and 2 kids which were both bolder than Vale.

“it seems like today was quite successful than yesterday huh “kly said with a smile on her face as she replied to vale who had a sweaty face with and holding 2 big rabbits on both hand.  “with the way you are going, I ‘m sure you would have great abilities when the time comes “she continued

“well yes, I‘m sure I‘d attain quite a number of skills when I awaken “Vale said with a big grin and his chest out with a boasting face

“Speaking of awakening , isn’t that tomorrow? “ kly said with a big smile on her face

“you know trevor had a nature affinity when he awakened, he was so joyed that he couldn’t wait to live the village and begin his adventure, leaving me, his father and younger sister behind, although he sends messages every week and at times sends some money over, he is such a good boy“ kly had a face showing so much pride in her son, he was 20years old, he had awakened and was lucky to even awaken an affinity, of all the children in the village around his age, there were only 3 of them as of then that awoke an affinity, after that which was about 10 years ago, only 4 other children had awoken an affinity and all had left the village to the capital city of westrion it was the capital city of the xavier, one of the biggest kingdoms in the continent of Leria.

The world of Tehar is one in which magic is colloquial. Every thing on the surface of the planet entails mana no matter how little.

The planet is divided into 7 continents, gravius, slandon, trovise, leria, ponteria, genevia Each of the six ruled by an emperor but possessing various kingdoms under the rule. If the planet were to be Flattened, the six large continents all circle 1 continent half the size of each of the continent and this was the continent of Paldin. It was one governed by the Puissant, it is said to the the capital of the world as every issues revolving around the world had to go through this continent.

The Puissant being the most powerful being in the world was acknowledged as the emperor of the world and thus had rule over it. Every 10 years a competition was held around the world and the winner would be granted the opportunity to battle the Puissant for the title and if he wins he would become the new Puissant and all the fame and riches would be given to him.

At the age of 10 humans on the planet awaken their magic and develop affinity which could either be : fire, water, earth, wind, nature(plants), light and darkness.

Although not everyone develops an affinity as not everyone posseses the ability to acquire an affinity or the other

“well I do hope I develop an affinity also so I could move myself and mother to the capital while I continue my life as a great adventurer “vale said with a bright face that was glimmering with hope
“and who said I want to leave polaris? “it was his mother that spoke as she stepped out of the house which kly and Vale had been conversing infront of vale shrugged and replied “well you didn’t say you were not interested either“  “well looks like hunting was fun today also you had quite the catch huh, well I guess leveling up would not be had for you when you awaken so affinity or not you can still become and adventurer and make good money to spoil you darling mother“ Theresa said as she patted Vale’s hair and brushed her hands through his pitch black hair “well lets go inside and make some rabbit soup and we can plan tomorrow, since its the biggest day of your life and one that would determine the rest of your life” Theresa said again as she took the rabbits from his hand and opened the door wider for himself and kly to enter.

After that Vale went in to bath while kly and Theresa had a little talk while preparing dinner and afterwards kly left for her house. “so what affinity do you wish to get tomorrow” Theresa asked Vale as they were both seated having dinner “well I’d love if I can get fire , uh nor maybe water, you know probably id be able to get an ability to breath under water with it or probably light, who knows I might become as fast as the speed of light” from the words of Vale, it was quite obvious that he was excited at the prospect of having control over an element “hmmmmm, what about wind, that’s the present puissant’s affinity, and he has just won the last battle for dominion making him in the position for the 2nd time in a row, don’t you think that is super strong also?” Theresa said as she was just listening to her son’s excitedly talking

With that Vale had suddenly gone into thoughts , I mean after hearing that the most powerful being on the planet had a wind affinity, who would not want to also get such an affinity “well lets just wait till morning and see if you develop and affinity and if you do, then which” Theresa had spoken after realising that Vale had started thinking too much, Vale just gave a sigh and continued to eat, and after that, they had stayed a little longer talking and then separated to their rooms to sleep  “well I’m sure I would get a cool status atleast I did get those gift from the voice, I suppose it has to do with my stats, so I would just have to wait and see what they were” Vale muttered to himself as he lay on his bed before drifting off to sleep.

*yawn* morning finally arrived and vale had just woken up, it was finally his 10years old birthday and the day of awakening and he was overly excited at the prospects of seeing his status and all
“Status” Vale said to himself and suddenly various words and numbers appeared in front of him “oh my fucking, this is awesome” Vale said as he viewed his status which showed…
