"Thanks for pointing that out badly." she retaliated as a few muffled laughs went around the table. "What could possibly be so interesting about me?" she muttered to herself as several faces shot in her direction with a raised brow or a questioning look. holding up her hands, she figured it made sense, she was an adopted commoner by the Royals, the sister the future king never had. Even Charles had now been heard saying Kate was the daughter he'd never had without her being married to one of his son's.
She was big news apparently, certainly cause she'd been kept hidden for so long and they thought her to be a single mother with a son. Well, she'd reunited with her son's father and they were very happy together.
Driving through The gate of Windsor an hour later. William was driving the car in front of them as Glen followed them out, both of them with their sunglasses, the press out in full swing, just after the allowed point.
"Jeez," Kate muttered as she checked on her son in the back seat as he seemed to be engrossed in the book he held in his hands. "You heard anything on your end yet?" Kate asked Glen as she rested her hand on his thigh, running her thumb back and forth. "Nope, haven't really checked either. My phone has only taken pictures so far, I haven't called and I put it on do not disturb. I'll take a look this afternoon." he told her, covering her hand with his as they followed the motorcade, their car was behind that of the Cambridge's, in front of them a PO car as well as after Glen and Kate.
"Do you think they'll stop being mean finally?" Kate wondered, turning her head to look out the window. It had bothered her more than she'd liked to admit. Sure after Glen's intervention at the end of March, it had lessened. but there were still a few of them, she hoped they realised that they'd been together all along and that Glen had been most aware of it all. Karma, that's what Kate liked to call it as she looked at the moving by the scenery.
"If they don't they'll have me to answer to sweetheart. We had to keep the pretence up, but all bets are off right now. No one is allowed to hurt you or our son, no one." he told her as she gave him a tearful smile, her head turned back in his direction. "Why did I get so lucky?" she asked in a soft whisper as she intertwined their fingers, resting on his leg. "I ask myself that question, each and every waking moment," he told her, sharing a quick glance with her, lifting their hands up to his mouth and kissing the back of her hand.

"You do realise that Arthur has school right?" she asked him with a tilt of her head as they sat on the couch later that evening. Her head was lying on Glen's lap as he lazily tugged his fingers through her long tresses. They'd spent the day on the couch doing nothing. they'd ordered in for dinner and they'd been stuck in front of the TV all day since returning from Windsor. "I know, I just want to have a quick holiday with the two of you, I'd ask Luke along as well, just the four of us," he told her as she nodded her head in understanding, she too wanted to have a holiday with Glen, Arthur and Luke. sure she'd be in the less with three men. But she knew that she'd love every single second of it. how could she not?
But she had to work and Arthur had to go to school. "Maybe we can plan something for the summer holidays. I have to travel in August, not in July," she told him with a smile on her face as she stretched her arm to cup his cheek as he leant down to kiss her lips.
"It's a plan, you want to plan it or should I do it?" he asked her as she shrugged her shoulders at him. "I could do it, but you might know more and better places," she told him with a tilt of her head as she sat up and he pulled her in his lap. "I'll take a look tomorrow, don't worry about it. I'll pick out a few things and we can pick something out together tomorrow night," he told her as she wrapped her arms around his neck and she nodded her head in agreement. "Sounds like a plan, you want to drop Arthur off at school?" she asked Glen, he didn't have many opportunities to do so and she wanted to avoid being looked at or stared at after the weekend that they'd had.
